My suggestions to make Yasuo less frustrating to play against

Hi everyone

As someone who loves and mains Yasuo , I admit that while I think he's balanced at the moment, people find him really frustrating to play against.

I think the main offenders are:

  1. His shield, allows him to win trades easily.
  2. Wind Wall, which completely shuts down some champions if played right.

My opinion : I think Wind Wall is the problem, and to make it feel better to play against is to:

  1. Decrease Wind Wall's duration from 4 seconds to 2 seconds.
  2. Decrease its cooldown from (26 / 24 / 22 / 20 / 18) to (18) at all ranks.

I think that with this change, Yasuo will be punished if he uses it at the wrong time, opponents will have more opportunities to damage him, and it will be less oppressive in certain match ups. It's a big nerf if you ask me and to compensate its cooldown has been decreased to 18 at all ranks.

What do you think guys? [slayer-jinx-wink]

Draven

Dem mid/top Dravens.

On a serious note, Axe CD is like 1/10 the Wind Wall's and an equal geared Draven can melt Yasuo in 2 autos.

lol I love you were downvoted for the truth. You can literally walk through it or side step.

You can even waste a full combo on it, except some ultimates the base CD of other skills is far inferior to Yasuo WInd Wall, and then you should add CDR items (which Yasuo doesn't build).

I exaggerated by saying completely, sorry. examples are Ziggs Ahri TwistedFate

Well, if you take a look at CDs you'll see that even wasting a full combo on it is not a big problem because it'll be up again before windwall is. And that's without counting CDR items.

no and no.

Every day a new thread about let's nerf Yasuo's q time, let's nerf his dash, let's nerf his shield. Meanwhile he is suffocating under the op reworks and lack of tenacity in the game. Lowering his shield to 18 all ranks sounds good, but lowering it to 2 seconds is a hard it. It may not sound to hard but it is a very big hit. fights in this game last all of 10 seconds and that s a stretch.

His windwall is the only chance he has against ranged champions. Unless he has a ton of minions or champions around(which he won't dive since he is squishy) he needs that wall.

His passive shield is needed since he has no magic resistance and his armor is already low followed by his low hp levels. His shield is also easy to bypass with a simple auto attack. Getting rid of it leaves him is serious danger

I don't really get why Yasuo should a shield anyway. He's manaless-energy less, hyper dashes, crazy damage. Decent early game and strong late game. To me if Yasuo didn't have that passive shield, that would be a way to punish him for mistakes. Now if he makes a mistake he just loses his passive for a while but dashes allover the next minion wave and has his shield back again. I can deal with the million dashes and crazy damage it's the fact that's impossible to trade with Yasuo in lane unless he screws up.

Because he has no base defense stats. Why should he be punished? You literally auto his shield down and boom he's squishy.

I'll give you a little more context. I play Gnar. Ya sure I autoed got rid of his shield cool. He then throws up windwall and now I either can't do anything or I have to run into my minion to get around the windwall, putting into range of his E-Q combo. For me in that situation, it's a lose-lose.

or you just side step his shield or wait the 4 seconds it's up..........

I guess, as Gnar, I have just always gotten pub stomped against Yasuo, it's the only matchup I don't feel confident in. When I'm mega I just can't keep up with his mobility and get kited. When I'm mini, I'm too squishy to fight him and don't have enough wave clear to contain him. Yes sure I can wait until windwall is finished and go for it then but all the while, he's zooming through my creep wave clearing it out and I'm stuck with his wave crashing the tower and losing CS (I will admit I need to get better at farming under tower).

It just has always felt wrong to me when a champion can build glass cannon and be more durable then a tank and that's how Yasuo feels to me with his shield. Maybe I just need to learn how to fight him but I've tried and tried to no success thus far.

So ruin his teamfight capability while making his laning phase stronger?

Megazoz1 votes

I think Wind Wall shouldn't block everything in a teamfight, Yasuo should anticipate the abilities he wants to block and time windwall accordingly. I agree that in teamfights it will be weaker, but will be less annoying to play against, which is the goal here.
