Keep Dominion, only game I play! Highly disappointed at the news!!!

You know, some of us only play dominion. I find Summoners Rift to be too slow & methodical. I play Dominion almost daily and if gone will have no reason to play LoL anymore.

Please reconsider!

I think Riot evaluated that they would lose part of their playerbase before announcing the retirement of Dominion. They probably also deemed that it was an acceptable loss considering a small fraction of the playerbase plays dominion.

There is no hope for this map, enjoy the last 12 days you have of it while it lasts and then evaluate whether you want to play league still because from a statistical viewpoint there is no reason they would undo this announcement just because the boards are being lit up about it.

Exactly, IMO i see this more of a economical action instead of a "i dont care" action, with every champion realese and updates, Riot needed to fix bugs and make champs compatible with the Crystal Scar, this required more work, which means more time, which means more payment for various employees, and that work wasn't really worth due to the low usage of Dominion, so i see Dominion more of an economical choice and really would help to fully concentrate on SR which is the real core of this game.

They are a giant company with a lot of money. Why would that be a problem for them?

It probably isn't, but in the long run it can really hurt the company if hardly anyone plays it. It's like having a company making onl 2 products, one would sell super well while the other only 0.5% of the population buys it, so do you think it'd be worth for the company to continue manufacturing that product?

Large company or not its basically wasted money. I feel for the people that play it but everyone, including them knows how unpopulated Dominion is.

Dominion is basically the equivalent of opening a resturant in the dead middle of a desert and only the once in a blue moon traveler is your customer. While down the road some you have Vegas(SR)

In the announcement they even acknowledge the fact they are going to lose some players. Something like "if you choose to still play" when they are talking about the icon they are giving out. Sucks to lose player base and know that they lose what they enjoy, but cutting a section that is likely a negative return on investment is something that any company would have to do eventually.

They already know they are going to lose people before they even said it. Means they are accepting it.

As far as they are(And a lot of players are as well) there just isn't enough people playing it. And the que timer is attrocious. Why keep the 3 legged dog alive if its already on life support to begin with? They are cutting their loses and getting all the resources they put into Dominion and will have them for either making the rest of the game better, or make a new game mode most likely.

Given how fast people jumped ship after it released, there's a pretty good chance that would have just been sinking more money into a lost cause. They tried to promote it back in the early days and people just didn't care.
