Hackershero··1 votes·28,258 views

So i play supp mainly and earning a s rank along with a chest seems close to impossible to get. I have earned s ranks befor but didnt make sense (3/5/12). But recently played a game (3/0/13) and only earned a a+. Got a low grade in minon kills but wasnt there and update were minons didnt affect supp grade? Hello! Support main here and I currently have eight support champs at Mastery 7.

Evidence: http://i.imgur.com/dIxqXHC.jpg (And yes, I managed to get Lux to Mastery 7 as a support)

Now, I don't play Blitzcrank so I can't help you in-depth there but I'll share some of my experience that may or may not help you as a support in general.

Here's what I found out during my journey to get an S rank as support:

  1. Don't die a lot. If you die more than 3 times, your chance of getting a good rank is getting slimmer. Often times I just hang back and babysit the adc and teammates.

  2. You need, at least, 20 assists. Or 30 if you're Nami, god, she was hard to get to Mastery 7. Try to be present during every fight and use your shield/heal/whatever as possible to get an assist. Even if someone is at full health and don't need shield/heal/whatever, still use it. It will count as an assist if they can get a kill.

  3. Be present and helpful when your team is about to get dragon, tower, inhibitor, etc.

  4. Ward, ward and ward. Be sure to ward a lot on different areas of the map and be sure to destroy wards with sweeper. Use pink wards too.

  5. It's ok to "kill secure" once awhile but only do it if you know your adc or teammates don't need it. And it's ok to take some cs too but again, only if your adc or teammates is too far to get to it. Often times when the adc backs and I'm left to defend, I take some cs. It's better to get cs than let it go to waste by the tower or minions.

  6. And of course, have fun and don't think about it too often. An S rank will come to you eventually.

Hope this helps.

I have been doing this since the support grade "rework" and haven't gotten an S, let alone an S+ consistently. I have low deaths, usually 0 or up to 3 (I know anything past that won't get me an S). I usually get 0-3 kills and on average 20-30 assists in a regular game, sometimes more or less depending on the length of the game. I'm clear wards and placing them whenever able, even in this ardent rush meta. But damn, I went 8+ months without getting an S- let alone S or S+ on my supports (I play everything from mages to the tanks). ._.

Hi. I know this is kinda late but I hope you see this. I’ve been trying to get a S for the longest now and I’ve just played an amazing game with lux support. My kda was 8/0/21. I had I think 64 farm. But I only received a A+. At this point I’ve given up on getting an S. I see a lot of people do the bare minimum and get an S. When the game ended I complained and someone on the other team said I didn’t get one because I sold all my support items (I went full Ap lux) and because of that it counted my farm. I’m not sure if this is true or not but please help. Can I not just get a S with lux support

Another game I went 2/1/14 and got a A-. How and why?

Help me please

You have to exploit the ward system. After getting sightstone, place three wards outside the fountain. Refresh the item and go do your business. That way your ward count will go through the roof

But then again, the whole rank system never made much sense. The best way to get chests is by going premade and make sure youer friend gets fed

this game was an S rating.

basically you have to ward a lot and have a high cs count. cs plays a big role in mastery grading even for supports

supports are usually either the first to die.... or the last to die if they're doing their job right. so having as few deaths with the most assists is optimal. (high kill participation, just a love tap will do)

If what you're doing gives you a good winrate, great. No need for getting S grade frequently. Don't stop doing what you're doing. Now, if you just need that chest then make sure you aren't in ranked first of all. Now do whatever it is that you haven't been doing. If you die way too much, which doesn't look like the case, then start building for survival. The longer you last in fights, the more damage you can do. If you are not contributing to the feeding but getting S grade is unrealistic, there are only 2 things you can do. Let the game last longer, which means you rack up more damage on champions, or throw away your good build in favor of a build with a lot more raw damage. Be a cancerous, unhelpful jerk to your allies instead of a proper support. Your champion damage should skyrocket, and you'll easily get that S grade. Happy chest hunting to you!

Well i need a chest so i can get a shard, dissenchant, and unlock galio

Either way you can forget my advice because they have since changed how to get s grade on supports.

I feel like a 'good chance' of having an S is by having under 2 deaths, above 2 kills and around 20 assists Just had a game as Thresh, I think 4/1/20 or something, was S+ Thresh Thresh Thresh

drop more wards

Creep number counts too. I you have a chance, take some time to farm. I had amazing game as Janna support without AP items but because I didn't farm I got only "A".

You don't actively think about it. S+ Taric the other night.

I believe it considers your mmr in game with and against others to factor how deserving you are of level 7. I've gotten plenty of perfect games, but haven't gotten a rank 7 not cause I'm a bad player, but the amount required to earning increases.

Effective warding and not dying will probably boost your chances of getting an S above all else. Gold earned and KDA is just the extra push you need to get above s-.

When I played support, I would get an S with terrible kda while placing a ton of wards. Not just a ton of wards but also Effective wards.
