New Sated Devourer works with Vaynes W.

She gets her W trigger every other AA. As does Jax. I'm sure other champions who were balanced around a "X hit for effects" will work the same way.

yeah, you actually realized that much faster than us. we were like"hmm the only champion who benefits from this is tryndamere with botrk" but no, you actually deducted that ON HIT champions ACTUALLY benefit from an on-hit empowering item.

Yes, but unless you spend a lot of time out of lane (or are getting a massive number of kills), you are unlikely to ever even get the upgrade if you aren't the jungler. You end up just stealing a bunch of camps from your own jungler for not much benefit.

Was watching Imaqtpie playing Vayne/Kog'maw Devourer ADC, and he was losing the match for his team because it made him lose lane and gimp his own jungler every time and he never even got the upgrade.

Well the onhit from the item isnt really whats important. Its that she only has to AA twice to get her W effect.

This new devourer actually makes vayne do 3 types of damage pretty. It has a base of 60 magic damage on hit before you start stacking it.

Huh? I know. What I am saying is that it is very hard for her to achieve the upgrade to get the double-hit Sated Devourer upgrade (30 stacks). It doesn't matter how awesome it is if she fails to get it.

I was just watching Gosu and saw him build just smite item and have the effects without farming.

I'm going to try it in a custom game myself.

But the difference is that Vayne can't afford to spend >2k gold on an item that's just +50% AS and a bit of on-hit damage until she has the free time to get 30 monster/champion kills. Especially since she'd be stealing from the jungler with monster kills.

And jungle Vayne needs her team babysitting her for the first few levels, else she gets screwed by having some of the lowest innate defenses and no steroids/defensive tools.

If she builds it in lane she gets 50% AS and a 30 magic damage onhit. Thats more AS than BorK and onhit effect. Granted it doesnt give AD and lifesteal. I think the lack of sustain and ad early game will be worth the pay out.

With enough coordination with the jungler she can build up the stacks needed by midgame.

esp since it doesn't require a last hit on the monster just a assist.

You dont need to actually kill the monster? That means she wouldnt even need to steal jungle camps. Dragons are 5 stacks. I think its not unfeasible for her to use it effectively by mid game. She'd be down a summoner spell as BassCannon said though.

10% more AS than BotRK, and the on-hit is 5 more damage than the AD of BotRK, before the on-hit effect, ignoring scaling with Tumble and Condemn.

Just so you know, +10% AS difference means that Vayne gets +0.066 more attacks per second. It will take about 15 seconds of constant attacking for Vayne to get 1 more attack with +50% AS than with +40% AS.

Granted it doesnt give AD and lifesteal. I think the lack of sustain and ad early game will be worth the pay out.

Also the lack of a second summoner spell for the first part of the laning phase, outside of getting to smite a random minion/monster every so often. And then, when you do upgrade the smite, it's not as powerful as other summoner spell options.

With enough coordination with the jungler she can build up the stacks needed by midgame.

If you're focusing on stacking it up, you'll have it by mid-game. Meanwhile, you're not going to be laning very efficiently, and either you or your lane will suffer from the other team knowing that you're screwing around with Devourer. They'll either counter-jungle hard, or they'll push hard. Either way, good luck.
