Why does Teemo's soul get pulled out by Illaoi?

If Teemo has no soul, how does his soul get pulled out by Illaoi? He should be made immune to her Hentai Hell in the next patch as the only counterplay to her in the game.

Then Thresh should also be immune. He's got plenty of souls to give up.
