Suggested Azir Changes

Azir The emperor has faded into the background recently, I feel that he deserves a comeback. His E no longer knocks-up and his passive is useless early game. I would like to suggest the following changes to his passive and E mechanic to maybe give him an edge in the current league scene.

Passive:

  1. Add a minion execute mechanic to all his attacks (soldiers and AA), similar to how item 3097 works. The HP that the ability will execute minions will scale with his level, starting at 70HP and ending 300HP (These values can be changed). Although Azir might not need assistance in farming, it will help him defend Rift towers.

  2. ** If Azir is in range of his OWN tower, his attacks will execute minions at any health.** This will embrace Azir's defensive nature. I've seen countless enemies steamroll through his turret because their minions were there to tank it. Eliminating the enemies' minions will allow Azir and his team to hold out longer in a push.

E:

  1. Add a reset mechanic. **His Q cooldown is reset once he arrives at his destination. ** This gives Azir the ability to adjust to the situation he placed himself into. Once Azir uses the ult combo, he sits behind his wall waiting for either his W or Q to come off cooldown to continue fighting. Giving him this reset will allow him to immediately start contributing to teamfights. This mechanic could also facilitate Azir's escapes. He could Q-E away, then Q back to slow chasing champs. If you feel that he would have too much range or poke potential; a compromise could include shortening the range of his reset Q.

These changes would give him the opportunity to do more for his team and for himself. Let me know what you all think and have a nice day!

Not sure I like the passive changes together...maybe one or the other. (A built in Relic Shield proc that heals him would be nice). Given what Riot just did with Lux's ult, the change you're suggesting to his E isn't that unreasonable, especially given that very few players have the foresight to place a soldier BEHIND themselves to blink out of trouble.

Honestly, I also feel his ult could use a bit of work. Maybe something along the lines of expanding to lane width, or just short of, similar to Karthus' or Anivia's walls.

Currently, I feel he'd actually be better as an ADC, but his range is too limited by his CD's and CD's are too long to really be overly viable anymore (he IS still secondaried as a marksman...).

About the only place I've had any success with him recently is in ARAMs, and that's few and far between.

he definitely shouldn't one shot super minions otherwise i'm not against those changes, though i'm not certain if the passive change is necessarily the right place to inject power. i definitely don't think it'd be TOO overbearing, after all it's only most powerful under his own turret
