As a support main, I notice that late game I may need to clear minions in the base or catch a wave for some reason. The support penalty happens even when the final support upgrade is complete. Is this a bug? I’m getting this penalty 40+ minutes.

I would rather be focused on winning my lane rather than crippling myself so my adc can feel some season 2 superiority over support. Wouldnt want support playing better than the adc, now would we?. It might bruise adcs Ego and cause them to quit the match because anyone else is playing better than them.

the only champs that "could" are AP supports, but they are meant for high damage. they shouldnt get the benefit of being a 2nd mid in terms of items late game.

so what if your damage support? also its called helping my team to clear waves. some supports like morg,zyra,brand,janna,soraka,etc. can help with clearing so with this new item if ur team is behind u are just force to watch ur allies struggling to clear 3 lane super minions and cant do anything

When you have your 3 items, you're full build. I think the changes are all really positive for support and not much actually changes in the role
