With the new runes, why isn't there one adding a control ward slot?

Or just make a control ward slot everyone can have. I really hate playing ADC and it's late game and I want a control ward but I have to choose between that and either Bloodthirster or Last Whisper.

Yeah... I don't hate the idea, but it feels like a stop-gap measure. I would like a vision system overhaul that addressed the inability to pick up control wards with full items for all champs, instead of making supports (again) give up power in a system for more vision control that ought to be available to the whole team.

While other classes might take that rune, supports would almost certainly be expected to, and I don't love that about the idea. On the right track, though, for sure.

Because that would be the only rune people would take. An extra slot for control wards would stronger than any rune they showed off so far.

Would never be used in Solo Queue and literally every game in Competitive.

What about a lesser rune that increases the range you can place wards? So maybe double the range for stealth and farsight wards. I would definitely consider running that. Be able to throw a face-check stealth ward in a bush from a safe distance? Be able to ward baron with farsight from nexus? Yes, please.

i need a "ward bag" item so badly, giving you meh stats but allowing you to buy pinks even while full build (and maybe to let your trinket stack more, idk)

This should just be a feature frankly. Shouldn't need a rune or anything to be able to do this.

Or they could make a rune that recharges your Sighstone periodically with a ward. Like you get a Ward every 150 seconds in your Sightstone if you've used a ward.

Even if they had it on mind now they won't add it cuz they would feel ashamed that their players think better than them-

They already said no... kind of. In reply to a similar question that was posted in the Runes Corner in which Summoner Specialist and Hextech Freezeray were introduced, Riot Stashu said the following:

The problem you're trying to solve here is a real one. Unfortunately, I don't think a rune is the best place to solve it. Ward slot restriction is a systemic pain that should be solved globally for all champions, rather than on an opt-in basis through a rune.

What they mainly show was keystone ones. They expose some lesser runes but not all of them. They migh thave one for control wards who knows?

As a support main, I'd love to see different sightstone build paths. It'd be super nice if there was a sightstone upgrade that guarantees a control ward as one of the charges if possible. Idk.

They said if they did this, it would likely be a default thing and not something locked behind a rune.

Hey, we don't know 90% of the runes yet. They have only shown a very small portion of them, there are said to be at least 60 runes.

Uh... I mean... we don't know there ISN'T one...

because everybody would take it in higher ranks
