Why can mordes ult be cleansed with qss etc.

Just recently I played aram with morde and I tried tu ult twitch and kalista from the enemy team, but my the death realm just disappeared and then noticed that they cleansed it. Why is this a thing, because now my ult just goes to waste because I cant catch them or "1v1" them and the whole ultimate just becomes useless. Rito pls fix.

Yeah its dumb and there is no good reason for it since mord ult already has counter play in it.

There actually is very good reason why this mechanic is needed.

If his ult can't be cleansed by stuff like QSS, then he becomes the ultimate objective control. Baron and dragons are not targetable for anyone in Mordekaiser's death realm. So if both teams are contesting these objectives, then Mordekaiser could just ult the enemy jungler before baron/dragon gets low enough to smite and effectively removing them from the field.

This way just Mordekaiser's team has access to smite to secure the objective. You can't really steal it away from them at this point, they have the smite advantage and there is nothing you can do about it.

Except if his ult can get cancelled.... you know, like by QSS. That his ult can get cleansed that way is a needed layer of counterplay for these scenarios imo.

But that's a good thing his ult can take the enemy jg out it makes the game have more fun since it changes the way team go about going objectives which is good since makes the game interesting.

Like there is no down side unless you hate adapting and idk why you're playing league if you hate that.

The adaptation is that the jungler has to pay to QSS tax, take cleanse, or someone else goes spellbook and hopes to be able to have smite at the appropriate time. That is the adaptation. Limiting those options would mean that a team could in theory build a comp around Morde that doesn't allow the other any option because they would have sacrifice too much in other areas or just give up any objective when Morde gets close.

Adcs and mages hate adapting which is why they get heavy cc and mobility in their kits while only being 10ms slower than most melee champions (forget 10% average movement speed with easy access on top damage items. 10% of 435 ms)

With this argument, you can defend basically every broken mechanic in the game.

Lets create a new champion, which makes the enemy nexus automatically explode at the 30 minutes mark. That's a good thing, right? It changes the way people go about the game, since they have to adapt and try to win early or they automatically lose.

How about a champion who does the same to the enemy team what already happens in ARAM: the enemy team can just buy items when they died. How interesting, now the team has to actively search to get executed to be able to get their items, while not gifting the enemy team gold!

No, this is not how this works. You can't just claim that a broken mechanic is fine "because it changes the way the enemy goes about something".

That shit is busted Mord's ult before it changes its Qss policy needs to be 30% bigger and start with the target as the Center not Mordekaiser.
