What If I did not finish my placement games?

Hello. I am a new LoL player, recently I decided to play rank and just as I expected it didn't go too well I win 1 out of 4 or 5 game so far so I am considering to drop this season and not finish the 10 placement match. My question is: If I did not finish the 10 provisional placement game will it effect my rank and MMR next season or it reset if I didn't finish? Thanks in advance

Your ranked MMR was impacted by each of those matches (by how much depending on the MMRs of those in the game with you), so instead of the starting MMR (thought to be 1200 or so), it's probably slightly lower right now. When the season ends (even if you don't play anymore ranked), you'll still be affected by the soft reset (which in at least one previous season was [old MMR+1200]/2=new mmr, although they may have tweaked the formula), so you'll probably be pulled closer to 'fresh account' status if the soft reset does work as it did previously.

When the next season starts, you'll need to do a fresh batch of 10 placements, but your starting mmr will be whatever it is after being soft reset, i.e. slightly lower than 1200. The 10 placement matches will each have their own impact on your MMR, and then once you're done all your placement matches you'll be placed based on that final MMR.

tl;dr: Yes those matches count. Probably won't have a significant impact however since it's only 4 or 5 games.

Don't worry, match making will be a lot better after placements. Don't worry if you get placed low because it's set up so you have room to climb.

Well, it's always rough for people getting into ranked initially, as ranked is a much more 'tryhard' environment (as in almost everyone on their main champ in their main role) which can be jarring if you're used to norms (which rarely has everyone playing their main champs/roles).

Still, ranked is the best place to improve for related reasons. In any case, whether you play the matches now or in a seasons time, they won't get any easier, so may as well grit your teeth and get them over with, and then you can start working on climbing up from there.
