Udyr problems

Hey guys, not sure if I'm just a complete scrub with this champion or he's too weak but here are the problems i've found playing him. He dies too quickly. I tried playing him with phoenix and damage items, pretty much useless, low damage, dies right away. So i think okay, i wanna help my team win these ranked games. I put all my masteries to defensive as possible, take defensive runes, max turtle first, and buy only tanky items, and i get blown the fuck up right away in the team fights?!?!? if i was any other "tank" i would stay alive for twice as long and be able to help my team. please give me some positive feed back.

You shouldn't be building Bloodrazor while learning him. Cinderhulk works significantly better since it provides more leniency for mistakes.

You completely gutted your ability to clear the jungle or kill targets. You are going to fall rather far behind on levels doing that, greatly reducing your innate durability due to lower base stats.

Udyr isn't a tank; he is a fighter.

If you want a basic "beginner" build for Udyr, I would recommend using the following.

Ability Order: RWRER, R>W>E>Q Masteries: 12/0/18 (Courage of the Colossus) Runes: MS Quints, AtkSpd Marks, Flat Armor Seals, Scaling MR Glyphs Item Build: item 3111 item 1401 item 3078 item 3110 item 3190 item 3053

you don't really want to teamfight as an udyr vs cc teams.

Try going for small skirmishes, and splitpushing

depends on if you are doing tiger or phoenix. Phoenix is a bit harder for new players. Start by using Tiger. the thing about tiger is that you arent a clear monster. with tiger your focus is on ganking. once you get the hang of udyr you can try out phoenix and see if you like it.
