Can something be done about dc's and afks in ranked please?

Feeling the urge to make a post about this considering in 2 out of my 10 placements i had a dc and a rage quit. i ended gold 2 but could have probably made plat had i not been destined to lose 2 games. This is especially true in games like promos or placements where you have so much riding on so few games. Whoever leaves or dc's should take on the full penalty instead of sticking the entire team with a loss that there is nothing they can do about it. At least give us a chance as a 4v5 increased gold income experience rates maybe some sort of team buff similar to say how dragon works when you have a dc? i'm not entirely sure but as it stands right now anyone can force you into a loss and there is nothing to be done about it just suck it up enjoy the loss and hope they're not on your team next game.
