being autofilled jungle is miserable

as a casual player the worst thing that can happen to you is be autofilled jungle with no knowledge of how to jungle.

Power farming isn't even a viable strategy.

In the end, you just want to gouge your eyes out.

Jungle is fucked so even if you are experienced it doesn't matter. A better pick wins. Not a better player.

Gankers. Counterjunglers. Powerfarmers. Long ago, the three jungler types lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the complainers attacked.

Powerfarmers used to be able to outscale the gankers. MasterYi Counterjunglers used to be able to stop the powerfarmers by taking every one of their camps (+kill them in their own jungle) Shyvana Gankers used to beat the counterjunglers by simply rarely being found farming their own jungle. Elise

The complainers hated the powerfarmers because they wouldn't win their lane for them. And when the powerfarmers disappeared, the counterjunglers became pointless as well. Only the gankers remain. For now.

Hey man You can avoid autofill 99% of the time if you follow these instructions: Start any queue. then restart the queue when:

  • The queue exceeds 75% estimated time
  • a champion select is dodged

So, learn ?

No seriously, you state you have a problem :

  • Feeling miserable when you are autofilled jungler

You identified the root cause of the problem

  • Having no knowledge of how to jungle

So, watch a few videos, read a tutorial, it will take you something like 1 hour of your time and you wont feel miserable for being autofilled jungler.

I think it's worth it.

The other solution is :

  • pick a tanky jungler
  • Farm a bit
  • Camp your best laner and help them take every single turret
  • play as a second support in teamfights (Peel + knights vow, iron solaris ..)

Basically end the laning phase asap so you can just teamfight all game long.

power farming jg all game as a gank jungler will never be viable and should not be viable

trade your role or dodge imo maybe rito shouldnt have punished junglers for saying anything in jungler speak while nubs flame them out every game they lose lane since no jungle really wants to deal with the sjw Olympics season 8/9 report system while being unable to really talk anyway

anyway feel free to spam rito on preventing everyone from getting autofilled jungle as an option

ITT: Bad players suggest 'just learn.'

Jungle has a high burden of knowledge. You need intimate knowledge of multiple champions and every single match up for each of them, or you'll get stomped by a jungle main or bad match up. This translates to dozens and dozens of games on a champion/role you don't want to play. It's not feasible to expect anyone who doesn't main jungle to 'just learn.'

Pendergast8916/26/2019, 4:41:01 AM4 votes

have your bot and mid get shoved in, and then their mid and sometimes support invade your jungle and steal your camps or kills you. Your laners can't really help cause losing out on too much xp will permanently hamper them.

So you are down xp, gold, and any potential for pressure cause the enemies know where you're going to be if you're trying to farm.

JG is the role that helps all lanes while it or the team is ahead, but the moment it falls behind, unless you're a tank jungler you'll need the help of your whole team to maintain parity with just the enemy jungler. Shit's too feast or famine, regardless of what champ you play.

every game i get auto filled jungle i feel like i do two successful ganks and then have no idea what to do for 15 minutes.

Leon41676/26/2019, 9:40:46 AM2 votes

Just ignore them. I don't play jungle but I always allow my jungler enough time to clear all camps on one side of the map plus the other buff on the other side and a scuttle before I even think of asking for a gank and honestly I do well enough on my own that I don't want my junlger's help unless they feel the kill is securable or at least gets a flash out of it. A jungler should be focus on farming and if they run out of camps THEN they can gank on their pleasure otherwise don't bother me you're not strong enough yet my friend. If the lane is frozen midway or beyond into enemies tower don't try you can't and won't get a kill less you got a good flash gank attack.

It's also about what junglers you play. I'd suggest Nunu 100% if you are not experienced. You can gank from anywhere, have a healthy clear and you are not that dependent on kiting camps. Also nunu's tankiness makes it somewhat safer to fail a gank. A well aimed snowball can at least get the laner's flash every single time and your pressure makes objective timing more forgiving. Give him a try if you haven't yet.

This is the best part about the JG nerfs. Get to watch other people play my role with no clue what they're doing while they get flamed all game.

Getting to see the people that complained about JG and flamed me for 2 seasons get the karmic justice they deserve while i abuse kench in top lane.

Jungle snowballs harder than anything else, because the moment you fall behind a single level from a death, the enemy jungler can start invading you reliably and either focring you to give him the camps or killing you outright.

Since they nerfed jungle xp so much and you struggle to stay relevant via jungle camps just by powerfarming, being denied jungle camps on top of it makes you useless against the enemy jungler, and useless in helping gank lanes since you'll usually be 2 levels behind laners.

I've been in the giving and receiving end of first bloods to jungle invades. The jungle who wins the early contest will generally go on to dominate the game while the other jungler is useless unless the laners help him predict invades and help him kill the enemy jungler to get back in the game.

Personally i wish autofill got removed. Getting a lane that you know your awful in sucks. especially when your teammates cant switch lanes with you.

Ambitious Minnow6/27/2019, 6:46:56 PM1 votes

Jungle is broken af. There are many many great arguments for why this is, I have seen Riot address exactly zero of them.

Crippled xp gains Crippled gold gains Crippled summoner spell choice, one is mandatory, so jg only gets one summoner. Crippled item slots, 100% required starting item, so jg only gets five item slots. The crippled item curse: Supports get a quest to finish which upgrades item, jg gets a curse they have to remove? WTF! Crippled Champ Choice: Starting blue side of jg you cannot hit lvl 3 without crossing into anther quadrant of the map, this mostly limits junglers realistically to jgs that start red(Fighters, aoe skill champs)

Riot looks at jg complaints and says "well a good player can carry from jg" so decides to make role weaker, but doesn't consider any of the context. In jg, when you win hard, it's pretty much by making good decisions and predicting what players will do well, I.e. Actually knowing what you're doing. It's a complex game and a complex role with a lot more decision making variance then the lanes have. You can screw it up as easily and heartily as you can win it. Jg is such a complex role that Riot still doesn't have a jungle cpu player, they clearly can't figure out how to boil it down to an workable algorithm. Jungle is potentially a strong role for a good player, not innately a strong role for anyone who tries it, as is evidenced by this post reaching up the upvotes.

I was going to see how I placed on a new account without the MMR lock, but finally got bored of being flamed in some recent games for 'not doing enough' when I'm the only winning champ on the team. It's a dumb, crippled, thankless role, and I'm having much more fun playing Path of Exile at the moment, it's no shock people abandoning the role in hordes.

Playing Jungle is the most depressing thing you can do in this game.
