Insight on how to counter Veigar as an adc

I'm having troubles as an ADC....

Seeing a 1/10/4 Veigar able to just sit in the back line not cast any spells while I'm fighting the rest of his team, at this time I am getting damaged, then I get to see this big ball of death come flying at me all because they player pressed one button making me and my team ultimately lose the game. Personal i don't understand, he is plenty strong with his stacking AP with his passive but why exactly does he get an execute on his ultimate.

I downvoted, you wanted insight how to play/ vs the champion as an adc.. and resort to nerfing as the solution. If he is standing in the back line.. and he ulted you.. it means you were standing in the front line.. if you were in your back line he couldn't ult you...... Positioning...

Youre not supposed to counter Veigar as an ADC.

As an ADC, you really dont "counter" anything, you have to pray that your team has tanks to protect you or disrupt (or destroy) Veigar.

You just have to dodge his skill shots. The cage and meteor are delayed enough to play around consistently, but you gotta dodge the Q. If you build a item 3155 / item 3156 , you should be pretty good if you do get caged. QR isn't gonna kill you itself until he has aton of ap or if you're already damaged. I always feel like an idiot when I get hit by his stun, because at 0.5 seconds, you can react to it. If he stuns because you walk into it, then that is your fault. He should never stun you.

In a teamfight, he's immobile and doesnt have mobility. You just gotta know his range and not get near him if he has the cage up or if you're low.

Basically, know his range, be healthy, and outplay him.

Or the fourth option, none of them because Veigar is literally bad-tier?

If you're low health, don't get in his range. If he's in the backline, you have literally no excuse to be hit by anything in his kit because you have no excuse to be anywhere except your own backline.

Depends on which adc you playing lol. Like ashe can w poke him to death slowly and safely, kalista can poke with q safely, and can also bait his cage and then kite and dodge his shots.

As an AD champion, you don't have many options against Veigar (especially as an ADC). Unless you're playing Xayah, then your best bet is to buy a GA against Veigar. Mercurial Scimitar is also useful for getting out of his cage if he manages to stun you.
