Because the question is "Who were these games against"?
Who you were against were teams of people who are Bronze 5. People with a negative win rate in Bronze 5. Some of these players would be Bronze 6 or lower if such ranks existed.
And you are not saying that you should be given an extra ten or twenty points to your rating, but you are suggesting that you should instantly be moved to a rating that is hundreds of points higher than the people you won matches against.

Yeah that was brought against my attention too, i think the placement system is sort of wack right now, i'd love to see like... wider elos grabbing, b5 to s2, s3 to g1, etc
