To me, I personally have a new found deep hatred for neeko, I cannot find a counter play to her with the champs i actually play (zed, yasuo, yi, kayn) other than the obvious that doesnt usually work cause Im rooted for 3 years and even if not....she can literally zhonya while ulting. I get that others can do that too, but like...whats the counterplay to that? You literally cannot run out of her ult range if you have 2 cloud drakes and a swiftyitem 3009 ,honestly speaking, shes worse than anyone ive played against, ive played about 7 matches against her so far, in lane and as me jungling (shes mostly mid or supp). I am by no means a high elo player, Im Silver 4 and honestly i just play the game for fun not for elo. And to be completely honest I've been thinking of uninstalling the game after a straight year of playing almost nothing except League of Legends on a daily basis since she came out. Her kit isnt RIDICULOUS but it kinda is too strong. The hitboxes are huge, and she cant get penalized. She has very little counterplay except having a plan to fight her, and following that plan perfectly, and even then, if you do everything perfectly, shes just going to trigger her ult then zhonya. Then youre stuck in the middle of her ult while shes in stasis. And if you survive the ult in the first place, her cooldowns will be back up by then, insta clone aaaaand shes gone. They talked before about how they wanted assassins to have tons of counterplay considering the amount of damage they do...i see no counterplay to her. You can barely dodge her root, and her q is a big ball of damage, and her ult shields her and almost a lane wide ult.

As a conclusion, everything im about to say is completely my opinion and i dont exactly have "facts", im talking from little experience against her and none with her. Her everything needs some tuning down, especially her ult, i believe her root hitbox needs to be checked, the whole zhonya while ulting is too OP cause theres no counterplay except flashing out if youre an immobile champ or have used your mobility abilities. Some would call that her counterplaying you, but every play needs a counterplay...even veigars ult when he has 1300 ap can be made useless by something like zed and kayn ult, yasuo w, yi q and even fizz e. I definitely hate her auto attack range, like atleast make it so shes within skill shot range when she tried to third auto poke me...every single thing about her is too big...except for what actually matters (iykwim ;)) Just fix her..and jax aswell while youre at it...

veigar needs time to actually get strong, annie idek at this point, atleast shes HELLA immobile :P in my opinion she more immobile than neeko, plus the auto attack range on both are significantly smaller so you can atleast trade with them if they go for an auto attack poke. This is all opinion and how it feels when playing the game so yea

Annie's attack range is 625, because it was buffed like 10 patches ago. It's almost as much as Caitlyn, who has the longest attack range in the game. Neeko's attack range, comparatively, is 525(or 575, I can't remember), which is Karthus' attack range. But her auto is less clunky then Karthus' or Annie's and her abilities have longer ranges than a Karthus Q or Annie Q. I'm fairly sure Neeko can outrange all of Karthus' abilities(that's saying a lot, since mages have a lot of range), except for his ultimate, which is global.

Zhonyas stops all her damage, banshees stops all her damage, steraks stops a lot of her damage, maw stops some of her damage, qss helps avoid her damage, mikaels helps avoid her damage. And those are just items. Flash, Cleanse, Barrier, summoner spells. Obviously if you're right next to her you can't run away very easily but why are you right next to her in the first place? If you're right next to most enemy champions then you're going to die regardless of who it is.

However I will say that her ultimates CD might be getting a nerf or its damage ratio.

As kayn you just ult her when she jumps in the air to use her ult and you dodge all the damage.

Zed can farm safely and instakill neeko at 6. He should never be hit by her ult thanks to his shadow. And if she catches you off guard, you can just ult her ult and dodge the dmg/cc.

Yasuo can windwall her E and then you have 12-10s of free dmg on her. I say free dmg because if you have minions, she is not landing Q on you, and if she does, it will be only 1 proc. And with max flow, he can block all or most of her Q dmg if she does land it.

Yeah i would say she's broken. Even Akali, with her shroud, can be killed by Karthus. Neeko has so much CC and range that Karthus is never going to kill her unless he's dead. Her health is quite high too. It's 50% more than what I get on Akali or Caitlyn. Her damage is ridiculous. Morgana's Dark Binding does like 100 while Neeko's Tangle-Barbs do like 500. She'll need some nerfs, especially her ult.

LOL morgana bind has higher base and higher ap ratios than neeko. Her ult is also equal in damage to neeko's ult.

Karthus wall cucks neeko hard, he also out ranges her with his Q.

All champions can kill each other, Karthus can even out trade neeko early with his Qs.

It's always felt like that Morgana's bind doesn't do much for me. It hits me, and I stay still. The game goes on as usual. When Neeko hits me, I get ulted in the face. It feels different. It's just that Morgana's damage is slower, and therefore more counterable and less annoying. Neeko has CC on at least two of her abilities and she's got her passive. One thing Karthus hates is CC, cuz he's gotta channel ult. Neeko has so much of that. And she's probably never going to run from you cuz she can just ult in your face and become practically unkillable(cuz you can Zhonyas in ult as Neeko, or the shield is going to save her anyways.). Walked through Karth's wall? Walk back and ult him. Nerfs will be needed.

So margana bind has higher AP ratios, higher base dmg, Her E tormented soil has Equal base dmg to neeko Q and has 110% ap scaling.

Morgana ult at max rank is 600 base with 140% ap scaling. It splits into two, 50% of the dmg/scaling is done instantly. The only reason you feel unaffected by a morgana when she hits you is because she is not just building full ap glass cannon like neeko. But all Morgana abilities have higher base + higher scaling than neeko.

If a karthus walls a neeko she will never be able to get close enough to ult him, she just won't. You say neeko can ult in Zhonya, well karthus has his defile on during zhonya and can also zhonya a neeko ult? His wall slows her so much that he can actually just kite her.

Karthus doesn't care if neeko roots him, He can still wall and out trade her as she needs to walk into him if she ever plans to proc her passive. Even if she only wants to use Q, she needs need to be within range of karthus Q. His wall also shreds MR, which just lets him out trade a neeko harder.

Neeko only has 1 way to stop a karthus ult and that is with her own ulti ( her only stun ), and no karthus is going to channel ulti infront of an enemy champ.

True, the reason I dont' feel like Morgana hits hard at all is cuz her build. Remember, she's also got her root. Root is still a type of CC. Since she's AP, she would also build Zhonyas. All hard CC stops Requiem from channeling. I mean like Neeko can ult, and during the animation, she can Zhonyas. I actually play Karthus, and Defile stopped when I used Zhonyas. Neeko's passive is the disguise, so she doesn't need to walk to him. The MR reduction is 15%, which makes 32 go to 27. Like 99% of the champs use Flash. Neeko flashes over the wall, and drop all her cooldowns. Karthus would be able to chunk her down pretty hard, if not outright kill her, but he would die. Plus, no Neeko would ever poke, cuz she just isn't designed that way. A slight nerf would be needed, because compared to other champs, Neeko beats Karthus more easily(I play him a lot, so I'd know) than any other champ. Look on the PBE patch, she's getting nerfed.

Syndra is a good pick into her, theoretically Lissandra too. Fizz is excellent tbh. as is Kassadin i'd think. I usually play Zoe into Neeko, tho I'd say it's more of a skill matchup... lol i only pick her cuz she's fun and she's the other colorful mage trickster. I can see Taliyah working pretty well too, and probs Xerath...

The real counterplay in general for her is to not stay in ur minion wave and not stay in the Q detonation zone. After that, it's largely warding and paying attention to the map, always keeping a general idea of where the enemy is so u can judgee wther or not that's actually neeko in disguise.In regards to her ult, try to bait it out. always try to land some poke on any champ u see coming up just incase its a neeko charging her ult. the poke removes the glamor and gives u the visual of neeko charging the ult... after this try to either dump all of ur dmg into blowing her up, or try to dodge the stun.
