Preseason Quinn changes

Now this is my first time posting here, mostly because while I might disagree with some changes made to the game, I've decided not to come to the forums to complain about them.

But now I feel like I can't just stay silent while they are essentially killing my favorite champion.

I wonder why did they at Riot feel Quinn even needed changes in the first place? I mean apart from the obvious bug fixes. But after those she would have been fine. Instead they go for totally different way with these changes Quinn and Valor basically lost their identity completely. There is no more Quinn and Valor. Now it'll be more like Quinn with a bird who carries her around. You won't feel like you are playing with 2 champions where they are an actual team. Valor won't feel like a combat companion anymore. It'll be like Kindred's Wolf or Annie's Tibbers. What was the reasoning behind these changes anyway?

Blinding assault renamed to Aerial assault and removing the blinding part completely. Changed to be more of a waveclearing tool than a dueling one. What is the point in that? What makes it different from basically any other marksmen? Is it so that every marksman would play the same way? So that new players have easier time picking up new champions? Is your goal really to make every champion feel the same? If everyone has generic waveclear skill, generic dash/other movespeed skill and generic damage steroid then what is the point in having so many different champions if you're going to make them the same anyway?

Now you can no longer assassinate people as Valor. Better yet you can't even attack anyone as Valor. This is the biggest thing here. Why was this done? This is the part that kills what Quinn and Valor used to be about. It was one of the most fun things about Quinn. Flying in and slashing people to death as Valor was great. And unique skill for a marksman but at the same time it fit the theme of the champion

So with these changes you want Quinn to be a midlaner. Ok, she now has lots of movement speed to roam around. But what can she do when she actually roams to say gank? You can no longer assassinate anyone, you don't really bring any meaningful cc so what do you do? Just move really fast on the map. I mean hopefully with the Q changed to mark the target will help even a bit with the damage but we won't know for sure before we get to test these things.

Now I know I'm just a lowly Quinn main and not a Riven or some other very popular champion main whose voice actually gets heard here in the boards but please reconsider this "rework" again. I don't think it's too late to just go back and just do some bug fixes and leave the rest of the champion alone. She is perfectly fine the way she is now.

+1 from me I don't play quinn very often, but when I do I play her like a flanking assassin...use ult to get behind the enemy and delete their adc.

Now she kinda just fills a worse role than Twisted Fate: get around the map quicker, but his is actually a teleport, and he brings cc and more waveclear than quinn will. AND is safer. Hers is on a 0 cd, but I mean, you cant use hers reactively, and how often do you think you are actually going to get use of it?

Let her ult be the same as live, it is just way more impactful feeling >.>

seriously if they did this they ruined the champ and riot should quit fixing champions that are already out because this will ruin this champion....

The Quinn changes give her something special: Insane strategic mobility. Yea she's losing her weird all-in assassin option, but if you want to play an all-in assassin, play an all in assassin.

I personally will play more of her, I like MS centric champs...

It's not even about being an all-in assassin. It's more about marksman with an actually interesting ultimate ability that actually made Valor a playable character too, making Quinn and Valor feel like the tag team they're supposed to be. Losing the assassination potential means that there are less different ways to play with her.

As a mid lane/ADC main, I remember wanting to dodge every time I saw a Quinn pop up in queue. I was excited for something along the lines of a full rework - and that's not what we got. We got an overnerfed Quinn. Not that I'm complaining, but she has no power now whatsoever. Her blind used to be the most annoying part of her, and now that that's gone, I am happy. I think that the movement speed nerf on her ult was necessary (and Riot delivered), but removing her auto attack in ult form makes her weaker than necessary.

She is not a bad champion, but she will definitely drop in popularity (even though she isn't played often anyway). Riot, can you please give her a normal rework (keeping some identifying marks in her kit)?

Also as a side note can you just please remove blinds from the game period? Make it something else that doesn't prevent counterplay.
