I'm loving Riot's consistency whenever it comes to neglecting Akali in any update.

Four months ago, after changing Revolver and removing the spellvamp to help fix up character's like Vlad and indirectly hurting characters like Akali who's core gameplay before 6 is "Try to not to die because the enemy is going to harass the ever living hell out of you with ease." against most the roster, we get the comment that:

You've actually hit upon one of the pain points of just generally anything affecting Akali. There's a bunch of stuff on the backend that means that work on Akali has been hard to justify because someone is always like 'I'll totally update Akali - I swear' and then nothing happens and then... I sympathize with you on wondering where fixes or interim fixes for your favorite champion has been. After all this time, I honestly still don't have a great answer for that given that I don't work on specific patch to patch tuning. Apologies - it's not much of an answer. I can poke around about it - but given that the last couple of times of 'no - there's totally going to be an update' kind of thing going - it's just kind of a frustrating situation and I imagine it's even worse for you.

Now we're finally getting the Assassin update, the perfect time for them to look at Akali especially after those item changes which kinda hit her hard. She was even stated to be one of the ones that they were going to look at, but as of earlier today we're now being told that:

We looked into Akali pretty early on in the Assassin update and concluded that she probably needs a full VGU to get her to where she needs to be. We didn't want to push out a update that only fixed some of her problems as that hasn't netted great results in the past. Evelynn was already high on our VGU list so we passed on her for now. Both of them are still on the table for smaller changes though (think Annie and Fiddlesticks size changes from the MYMU)

Come on Riot, this is just depressing. Every single time you guys consistently do this same exact thing and push her back while making empty promises to look at her "eventually", then when that "eventually" time comes up you do this again.
