Lower Priority Que

I would just like to ask a quick question and my own opinion on lower priority ques.

So first off, why did riot change the ban system to a lower priority que system? I fully agree on the fact that it isn't as harsh as a punishment, however, after experiencing leaving a single game or even sometimes a few games and getting a lower priority que, I feel like I would rather be banned then to get the lower priority que. This is due to the fact that the lower priority que is, at most, 20 mins. With those 20 mins you could finish a game and I even find it a bit tedious at times. I'm not saying that we should fully remove the lower priority que, just reduce the time and the amount of games left required to attain the punishment.

The purpose of a punishment is to deter you from breaking the rules. If you don't mind the punishment, then it doesn't work.

I fully understand your point however with the lower priority que on the next 5 games, I feel like I am almost being forced to play since there is no other way of getting rid of the lower priority que. I understand I may sound like some child right now complaining but I would still like to suggest that we have a different way of getting rid of the lower priority que.

Id just like to say that the lower que isn't helping the game. I now have to wait 20 minutes to play hexakill (not even a ranked game I left) for 5 matches because I had to leave one game. I think its a fairly harsh punishment that only promotes you to be afk. its a 20 min timespan that you have to sit and wait before automatically being placed into matching making. At the least it should be a timer you have to wait out and then you have to re submit the request to join a game instead of doing it instantly.
