Lock in requirement needs to go

With the all the bugs in the client from lag spikes/dc to being unable to lock in, the lock in requirement does way more harm than good. I understand that it was meant to keep players from going afk during champ select, and it seems like it would work on paper. However, in reality, players still afk until it's their turn to pick/ban, so the lock in requirement isn't actually accomplishing anything. All it does is highlight the instability of the client even more, b/c if one little thing goes wrong you're gonna end up being forced to dodge.

No. It's a good thing. Quit askin.

After playing 70 ranked games this season, I've had 0 issues with someone being AFK at the start of the match, I've had no issues with leavers, and only 1 person who had serious lag issues.

Past seasons it was much worse, with an AFK in ~1/10 games.

Pretty sure the reason there's less AFKs is largely because of the idiot-tests in champ select with the lock-in and ban.

Also: locking in your pick is an extremely simple task that requires negligible effort, and it doesn't detract from the experience. Certainly worth burning that 1/10000th of a calorie so I don't have to deal with AFKs.
