come back after 6 months, everyone plays diffferent

So i quit for a while, i come back and 9/10 players dont speak (presumably muted), theres no teamwork, teams dont group anymore, 9/10 bot lanes push lane till death the entire match, rather than grouping mid/late game, even ignoring dragons. am i missing some major gameplay update or did all the good players just quit once riot started encouraging players not to cooperate and rather reward them for staying mute and not communicating the entire match? im in s1 tanking fast to s2 btw

Dynamic queue ruined the competitive integrity of the game, no one takes it serious anymore. They are just now finally going to add solo queue for the higher tiers of diamond and above.

So what your experiencing is the transition from people not giving a fuck, to people realizing, hmm maybe we should give a single xD

I'm in S1 on my acct placing into golds (solo player here). I'm having no issues really. I lose some games periodically, but all in all I'm still climbing. I think it's because my team at most can have 4 idiots (5 with me if i'm being an idiot but then I deserve a loss in those games), and their team can have 5. I still win more than I lose. People still communicate. Riot doesn't 'reward silence'. They punish toxicity. There's a big difference (as riot will never give you anything for not saying anything). You're in silver. There are tons of bad players in silver (me included), so it's not like you're not going to have games where people make bad calls.

Here I thought this was just a silver problem. I only started ranked about 2ish months ago.

Now I'm starting to wonder if this was a problem all along. The not talking thing has two modes, silent or toxic, Silent people used to just be the people focusing on the game and not wanting to get killed cause they were typing. Now its also a good chunk of chatty people who dont want to get reported for one little verbal flub. Seriously. Go over to Player Behavior and Moderation. Tons of people complaining about getting perma banned, they show their logs and they have a few swears or were toxic for one post. Yeah some are justified, them flying off the racist remarks or were toxic all game, but rito also has a swear filter. Whats the point in an 'optional' swear filter if they are going to punish people for swearing anyways. So now people just choose to say nothing. Riot even made not talking even easier with the ctrl+click chat notifications.

As for the objectives I still think its a Silver thing because some teams will objective like they are Challenger while other teams will Bronze V the whole game no matter how much you beg them. I had a game where no one even tried to take dragon till the 25 minute mark. It got contested and the victors just backed instead of taking it. I think the enemy team eventually took it around the 30 minute mark, not one got elder that game

I play support so I'm utterly helpless if my team decides dragon/rift/baron isnt worth their time. I mean unless I pick cass support. Then I can solo that shit no problem with enough mana/regen. But I usually have to deal with the full team toxicity for picking a none healing/tank support... Even though Cass W is amazing zone control and her R can fuckup team fights pretty good.

nah I agree that the overall pool of players has become a mess of assholes for lack of better phrasing.

I've had to report at least 1 person almost every game for months now. I dont report because someone swears, and most of the time im not the target of the toxicity. There are just too many players who spend part of the game yelling insults at each other or griefing.

Youre spot on with the changes. Bot lanes perma pushing and never grouping. junglers who gank pushed lanes or not at all. and no teamwork without fights ensuing
