Garens Ult Of Magic

OK so Garens ult can be countered with a Maw/Hex... Why? He does AD damage and you cannot pop the shield with Garen alone in a solo lane, You can never use the ult on someone who has a Maw/Hex.. This is broken, I don't understand the reason behind this. I think it should be completely AD or maybe hybrid damage. Nothing more frustrating than fighting a Yasuo that has a shield you have to auto away while he is destroying your health bar and then when you finally ult to kill him..... it does 0 damage. Can someone explain to me and anyone else wondering, How can you get around this type of counter, for solo lane? strats please. cant always rely on a jungler to come to your rescue when something like this happens.. I have no clue.

Just ask your jungler to feed your laning opponent a kill so that it can do true damage.

In before you realize that the fact that it deals magic damage gives you an execute in lane as your opponent is stacking armour instead of MR

Armour and Maw = GG for the lane against Garen. the problem is not being able to destroy the shield so you are able to use his ult. he has no other magic damage.. its confusing for me. even in a team fight its likely its shield hasn't popped and his ult be useless.

So who can you link to me has actually bought armor and a maw vs a garen because I cant think of a single champion who thats a viable buildpath on.

it sucks, but its the way it is. Zed Fiora ult is removed by item 3140 . so are Malzahar Mordekaiser Skarner etc.

its not the only ult in the game that gets countered by a single item. if they were to make it harder to mitigate or negate, theyd probably nerf it and that wouldnt be worth really.

im not sure that was intended. more of a side effect they probably didnt think of when they made the item generally for ad champs against magic burst.
