Is Zed too good?

I play mid a lot. So I see a lot of Zed. I'm sick of it.
What I see, [LIST] []Easy farm with skills []Easy last hitting with passive []Super easy harass from range with shadow and shuriken []Item build path cost curve is hyper efficient []Can one shot carries if he is decently farmed and has a kill at level 16 []Can turret dive and escape by leaving a shadow super far away and teleporting out after damage plus ignite []R targets an enemy and makes him untargetable and bursts better then other champions []No punishment for using his abilities and missing like mana champions or long cooldowns [/LIST]

Am I alone in seeing this, added to the fact that all the pros play him and he is banned a lot? Or is there a counterplay I am missing. Zhonyas doesn't count, because I have a 1600 gold waiting period to get a damage spike, while zed just farms pick axes, and long swords and goes up in effectiveness. He doesn't have to wait for 1550 gold to be effective. He can farm it in chunks, while the counterplay against him has to wait for 1600 gold.
