How long does it take to play 1 LOL match?

So far, the time search for TF mid as mage in team builder is "short" - took me axactly 6:38 min to join this match - http://puu.sh/eHBA9/3c6860e40a.jpg

So.... its being 7min of search for bot lane... support finally joined, this happened - http://puu.sh/eHCdL/dacabdb6de.jpg

Now im moving to normal blind pick to see if things go faster ( add en extra 1min to the timer). 42 seconds have passed and i joined a match where mid is taken so i have to keep looking for another, more waiting.( by the time i look for more matches, and by the time i finally get mid thats prob another 5min easy, so im going draft pick)

15min have passed, can't play TF mid yet - lets try draft pick.

Can't join because i failed to chooose a champ - wait time 5min, more waiting.

20min have passed, im finally able to join draft pick. So, like i predicted, everyone wanted mid/top and i was 2nd to last( add an extra 2min). Plus the 14min wait time for not choosing a champ. - http://puu.sh/eHFx7/110d67a38c.png.

So in total around a 34min wait to attempt to even play TF mid anywhere...I don't really feel like waiting the 14min so im just calling it a day... no TF for me today nor any other day. I honestly don't know why i even spend my money on this game... or why i even play it. Can't play the champ that i want to play...not even once.

screw team builder, not only are the queue times to find a team ridiculous, it's totally unbalanced and not to mention the fact that it's dead anyways.

first of all the whole idea behind it is that you get to play what you want and having the freedom of picking your team, but the problem is you pretty much have to accept the first team you find, even if you're playing a typical meta champ/role, and the farther from the meta you go the longer to find a team and the more likely it is that you'll get kicked. and this is all all mainly because it's just so underpopulated.

most players are going to wait a good 5-10 minutes to find a team, and then when they do it's probably ANOTHER 5-10 minutes to find a support/adc/jungler. then in addition to that you get people who only wait a few minutes and they leave the group because they don't want to wait, i think a lot of people just hop around til they get lucky and find 4 people ready to go.

so you have crazy queue times, and then in terms of the teams and players themselves, totally unbalanced. i've had bronzies and diamonds in the same game, and that's most likely because no one is playing team builder so it's just totally random matchups because it's so underpopulated. and trust me these games are not fun at all, it's just you or the other team stomping, and really just 20 minutes wasted.

considering that most team builder games are going to be over in 20-30 minutes, you more or less spend half of that time waiting in queue alone, which is totally ridiculous. completely unbalanced teams, long queue times, nope ill pass. team builder is a great idea but they need to turn off blind pick if they really want people to play it, and no one is going to until they do that. but right now id rather jump in blind pick and find a game within a minute or two and just hope i can get what i want to play, and get relatively fun matches.

Im not the only one wanting to play mid tho, besides I got better things to do than to look for a 1hour match. Riot, MARK MY WORDS, no more skins for you from my part. Not one more penny, i have not once come into the forums to say something good.

Really man... my whole point here to show riot how messed up their queque is... in every shape or form.All i wanted is to go into a game and have fun with TF before i go to work. And thats not possible, it's just really sad.I got offered mid during the draft pick search and i declined because i got beat into calling mid - i have respect for others, plus i wanted to prove my point.

And you've failed to show it. All you've shown thus far is that you lack patience, and that you brought penalties upon yourself by dodging queues. When you join up in blind pick, you aren't assured a role; that's usually decided by who can rush to call it first. If you join draft, you do so with the knowledge that you only have a 1 in 5 chance of getting the exact role you want with the champion you want it, and even then you still might not with first pick if the enemy bans the champion you're intending to play.

The problem with teambuilder isn't that the matchmaking it has doesn't put people together fast enough. It's that not enough people are actually playing Teambuilder actively at the same time to expand the pool of potential players.

Not if you know how to play more than one role.

In teambuilder, mid and top are the most popular by far - my friends and I (who mostly play support, jungle, and adc to some degree) can go in and get a game in literally seconds. When I queue as jungle or support on my own, I find a full game instantly more often than not.

And in blind/draft, you can't just rage that you don't get the role you want. It's a team game played alongside four random strangers. If all of them want mid, is it really fair for the weak link who literally can't play anything else to get the role because they aren't versatile enough?

...Oh, I see, you're one of those people who dodges when they don't get the role they want. In that case I'm pretty sure it's just karmic retribution.

Yeah, it's a little harder to find a spot in mid on teambuilder. Probably worth it though.

I usually keep cycling through team builder until I get the role I want (MF support? Takes ages most of the time.) Or, I get bored, and go blind pick and say, "Deal with it, I'm playing MF support, and you're going to LIKE IT." Half the time I even win the game. If all else fails, I play Dominion or TT. Or customs. Oh man, them custom games.

You can, you just have to be patient. You kept skipping out on queues, wracking up negative points against you, until you got slammed with a penalty timer. If you'd just waited as long in the teambuilder queue you started in instead of hopping around other game modes dodging the queues when you didn't get the position and champ you wanted, you would have already been loading into a match as TF.

Like I replied to your other post, that's the risk you run when you go into blind or draft pick modes. You aren't guaranteed to play a champion or role, you're guaranteed to find a match. There's a difference. If you want to practice a specific champion, you wait in Teambuilder.
