7-3 in promos, Carried 6/10 games why was I demote?

I also went 7-3 in my promos and was demoted from Silver 4 to Bronze 4
.... so all of last year's progress wiped out. Now i get to start all over with feeding, angry, afk kids at the bottom of bronze...which means i am playing much less and looking for a game where competing means something.
