When playing Jarvan IVJarvanIV using his AA passive (Martial Cadence) on a target, this should be time marked like UdyrUdyr E or YasuoYasuo E.

As a jarvan main I approve

Yeas ago it was decided that abilities that have no other effect than damage won't get a per-target cooldown indicator. It's not likely that Rito will change their mind today.

Precise timing is much less crucial in such a case, if J4 or Zed engages half a second too early their passive will still proc with next basic attack. Mark would only be important in heavily calculated clutch plays - which are more impressive if they are harder to do.

Not sure if I can compare different champs, but shaco gets the backstab cooldown indicator on everything except minions and small jungle creeps if I remember correctly. It does nothing but damage

I doubt riot would take the time to add such a thing unless it made the front page of the league subreddit or something though

That's interesting. Was it added recently, like in the rework? If so, there might be chance for Zed and J4.

Yeah it was added when riot reworked the backstab passive

Yeah but that's more specific, it's only when attacking from behind. With J4 it's with any auto attack.

Is the backstab timer visible to other players, or just Shaco?

Just shaco I think. I don't play against shaco often

I think this is far more fair than the Jarvan case, because Shaco has a reason to CHANGE what hes doing based on that cooldown. Between CDs of his passive, he has little reason to actively aim for a backstab, but when the CD happens he now actively will have a reason to try and backstab the target.

I'd rather he get a new passive...

Approve. He needs either a visual indicator or a little timer in the buffs bar above your abilities. Thought about this a long time ago a few times when playing him. Just makes sense to see when its ready to use. While i dont think its really necessary, its just a nice QoL buff

You can see it in the enemy buff bar if you wanna take the time to look up there c:
