As someone who loves Azir and mains him, I think the nerfs have been too heavy. Without the knockup on his E, he now has little to no all in potential. I think a good spot for him would be .7 ap ratio on his W and give him his knockup back. In compensation they could decrease the range on his Q a little in order to preserve his identity as a sustained damage mage with decent range. Just my thoughts and opinions, your mileage may vary.
Also, the recent nerf to his Q was dumb and accomplished nothing. His soldiers' attacks pierce, having the Q only hit the first target doesn't fit with his theme.
