Were Ryze nerfs really enough????

Did Riot actually do a good job fixing ryzes stats? recently in a ranked game i was against a ryze playing as shyvana i had around 200 mr i walk into a fight and b4 i get into the middle ryze melts me down, really? 200 mr and i get melted like that and not to mention he is unkillable he never comes close to death i dont think you should be able to be a tank in a fight and melt down other tanks.
