My opinion and thoughts on Rengo rework coming from a almost 300k mastery on old Rengar

Hello, My name is AlmigthyXcavus I am a 300k point mastery Old RengarRengar main. Ever since the rework I've noticed a lot of differences in his playstyle as an Assassin, so much so that i have almost entirely given up on him. As of right now the only time i play Rengar is if i get auto filled into the Jungle or i just want to screw around top lane against a Teemo.

In this posts i would like to share my thoughts on the pros and Cons of this rework, in the hopes that Riot can easily balance a pretty amazing champion. Pros: Very high damage/ Sustain (Especially in the jungle at early levels thanks to the heal on W) Can reliably dive without the help of teammates to save him (for most situations) Amazing combo potential and very easy build paths for the game Cons: Is completely based on spam rather than actual decision making No need for stack management Goes against Riot's words on what they stated they actually wanted to do with the rework which was to "extend burst windows" Can one-shot most Adc's if he gets I.E and Tiamat early Q is very clunky and annoying Casting E Q mid air is impossible ( Which was intended, but in order for him to accomplish his goal, is kind of counter intuitive) BRUISER RENGAR is the most viable build which completely goes against the theme of assassins in the first place CC immunity - although this might seem it should be a pro, Rengars should be punished for going in too deep without any protection (no pun intended), giving him CC immunity on top of a heal that restores 50% of the damage dealt within the past 1.5 seconds is downright broken and dumb and the heal can be increased with Spirit visage.

Im not trying to sound salty or anything but the fact that the character that helped me climb all the way from bronze 5 to silver 3 last season just gets changed in a way thats counter intuitive to the design philosophy of Riot and makes his opponent rage even harder than before just ticks me off.

Here are my suggestions that riot should take for a (at least in my opinion) a fairly balanced and balance-able Rengo: Passive Bonetooth Necklace: Keep the current trophy system that rewards Rengar for killing one of each member of the enemy team, but the bonus he gets is dependent on what that champion primarily builds Tank- lethality or armor pen somme kind of Tank shredder Mage- Ap ( if and only if Rengar is going Ap, otherwise just bonus AD) ADC- AD Support- MR and Armor Assassin- AD and lethality Fighter- armor pen/lethality or AD OR Keep the bonus AD (either way is viable) INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF TIME THE STACKS TAKE TO DECAY AND BRING IT BACK TO 5 STACKS Old Rengar was EXTREMELY reliant on Stack management ESPECIALLY in the jungle In season 6 jungle I knew exactly how many stacks i had after each and every camp, and if a lane was gankable I would have to adjust my stacks in order to help out my laner Making Rengar less spammy and more reliant on conserving his stacks which promotes crucial decision making skills and get rid of Rengar gains a stack if he leaps into combat Q Savagery: Bring back old Rengar Q auto reset thats it, the new Q is too clunky and annoying to use, fervor Rengar is completely non-existent cause of this as well as the amazing outplays that Rengar could do with Auto-resetting with leaps, good Rengars would know exactly what im talking about

W Battle Roar: Personally i dont believe this ability fits his theme in the first place, but i have no other idea what to do with this ability other than to just revert it to what it was but change how the heal works (either flat or damage based ONLY IN FEROCITY EFFECT) REMOVE CC IMMUNITY

E-bola strike: Edited: bring back the ability to cast mid-air the ability to help land a guranteed SNARE (not stun) to help out laner was an amazing strategy for old Rengar as well as the fact that he can actually MISS the bola snare, thus it takes actual skill to land this even from ult stealth

R Thrill of the Hunt: This is where bruiser Rengar really pisses me off REMOVE THE DAMN GUARANTEED CRIT Rengar gets so much value out of pure AD items because of this, which shouldnt be the case for him as an Assassin Crit Rengar was a very viable and almost crucial build for old Rengar, because of that Phantom Dancer WAS A STAPLE ITEM for Rengar on any build (because of the vision passive) now all Rengar builds are either FULL AD or Bruiser which is not how he is supposed to be played give him vision of all enemy champs within a smaller radius, this prioritizes him to plan out how exactly he is going to murder his prey the enemies would have the Rengar eyes appear above their heads to whoever is in Rengar's "Hunt radius" as i like to call it" (but make the image smaller so it doesnt clunk up the screen) IF: Rengar is NOT in combat (WITH CHAMPIONS) when he enters stealth, then the stealth is the Camoflouge mechanic Rengar IS in combat (AND NOT ATTACKING ENEMY CHAMPIONS) when he enters stealth, then the stealth is the INVISIBILITY mechanic *Note this change should be universal to all stealth champs finally, allow Rengar to cast multiple abilities and Tiamat/ Hydra mid-air again THIS WAS SUCH A CORE MECHANIC ON HIM, THIS SEPARATED THE GOOD RENGARS FROM THE BAD ONES

I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to read this post, if you could PLEASE upvote this so a Rioter can take a look at my thoughts and hopefully make a truly amazing Rengar again. THANK YOU :)

Old Rengar was a bs. New one is fine. He actually needs to work to snowball other than the old one who gets 2 kills and oneshots everything.

Ill admit the old one had a problem with getting trophies by killing the same target over and over again, but the fact that ticks me off the most is that riot quite literally said they wantes to extend his burst window, but by giving him a gurantees crit with his ult goes against that philoshpy

Are you... Are you serious? Pretty much every champion in the game snow balls. The difference between old and new is that old had to buy a collection of the most expensive damage items in the to stay relevant, on new it's get 2 kills be given damage cause why the hell not and then buy 2 of the cheapest damage items in the game and then go full tank which snowballs even harder because all these items are cheaper. In the end new rengar even after building that has higher ad than old rengar while also having 3k hp. But ni you're right that extra jump range old rengar got for killing 3 Champions is way more busted than the bonus 20 ad new rengar gets for killing 2.
