Silence,atleast your main was alive
Shoulda seen Shaclone. Looks like he's done af with League if Shaco doesn't change from these changes.
He was at least slightly wrong though. He said that at max q the time of stealth would be equal to what it is now but from what I have seen it will be 4.5 second. On top of this the e damage is supposed to be weaker and the % missing health damage is in white text so seems to scale with level. If this is true you can max q first and do effective ganks starting a little later than currently but still faster than what he showed. He also was extremely under-leveled in his video and though it is a nerf, it is likely not as bad as he displayed. Also, the slow on e passive is from 10-30% based on the ability's level to 20-30%. The initiation of q plus boxes since you don't unstealth might also be useful in teamfights. I say now you might max e last depending on what type of strategy you go. I agree that the new addition to the ult is underwhelming but it isn't useless.
Both Shaco and Akali are about to become useless after these changes. Funny that the "mini" rework will be affecting them so heavily
does someone know taht riot can skip thsi reowrk?xD
I don't want the rework to be skipped, I'm like the only one who thinks the changes are great.:D His E is an overall buff even without the backstab damage, his Q becomes the spell to max first, his boxes won't die ridiculously quickly because of more heal and ap shaco becomes interesting to play. Only his ult changes look stupid, I would like his clone moving at the same time as him and when you clic a second time on R his clone will die within the next 2.5 seconds(and some indication he will die for the ennemies) so you can really do some calculated damage in TF instead of these three fcking Jacks appearing when the clone dies.
It's actually too hard to say if it's a nerf or not, try to be more objective cuz you find some real buffs(if he becomes bad like most people say, a little buff on his passive will make him fine). Don't forget everyone told skarner changes would make him worse until his winrate went up to 65%, no one would like to see him 95% banned/picked so buff him slowly and be objective pls. Apart from balance, the changes will make him in my opinion less cancer playing with him and against him. I really mean it. :D
Changes are gud
PBE Shaco is trash right now :/ Rip
nah its gud
the problem is that in the live patch the current shaco snowballs hard to the point that late game you get instant gibbed out of nowhere before having a chance to fight back. They are encouraging AP shaco i believe with these changes, though i'm sure shaco players would have rather the nerfs have been done differently their whole agenda in the assasins reworks was to give victims a chance to retaliate before dying and give them the opportunity in participating in team fights if they fall behind.
Shaco falls of quite hard even in late game. Takes about a full rotation with thunderlords to kill an isolated squishy.
In a teamfight late game he can't even get close to their carry since he gets chain cc'd the moment he leave stealth.
Calling shaco a snowball champion is like calling soraka a viable tank.
Shaco can get his team snowballing but he himself benefits very little from being fed since he can only use his lead to kill isolated squishies and splitpush.
The rework riot said they'd give us was a slight adjustment to his early and a healthier late game. What we got was half our damage, most of our slipperiness and stealth, box stacking, and shiv execute taken away with no compensation and a meme on our ulti.
I don't know what Riot was thinking but they've gutted shaco despite him not being a popular or op pick like nidalee or lee sin for example.
Full rotation? What? Get statikk and IE and then you'll two shot carries late game
You still need to use your q to get close, w to cc, hydra to get some damage off after your auto, and then shiv for the execute/thunderlords proc just to kill someone who's squishy.
if they have heal or flash way in time you can't kill them and they'd most likely kill you in 2 autos since 1 you're made of paper and 2 you used your q to try and kill them. I agree that shaco can 1 shot carries late but he still needs to get close to an isolated squishy and lets face it, late game in any elo past silver no squishy is roaming on their own when there's a shaco in the game so even if he wants to burst anyone he has to all into a team and suicide for a kill on the carry since he can't escape once he's out of stealth.
Shit, they might even kill him the moment he leaves stealth.
Riot was looking to fix his weak late game by giving him some survivability, instead they gutted half his damage across the board and made him weaker than he already was.
I will say past gold... some squishes still roam on their own on silver, specially squishy supports.
Killing a support is meaningless, shaco gains nothing out of being fed since he isn't a teamfight champion, sure it'll improve his burst potential but shaco can't burst anyone if he's cc'd and insta killed the moment he leaves stealth.
People act like shaco can get tanky like rengar and keep bursting people down when in reality he stays squishy even when he's ahead.
The thing is you win the extra member, so if teh timer is high enough you can set up a proper spitpush or force a fight with the extra member.
I think Shaco is likely to going to see a lot of changes based on player feedback. Just because they aren't immediately changing him on PBE doesn't mean they aren't looking into him. They have people on standby to look at the champ reworks, but I'm sure they'll want data on the live servers before they do anything too drastic.
I'm not necessarily trying to defend them; I'm just saying that IF they were already working on HUGE post-rework changes to Shaco, we wouldn't see it yet. Give them a little time. Preseason always has a few things that need another look after it hits.

The thing is though, that these changes have been live on the PBE for 9 days now, and riot hasn't even mentioned him despite how ridiculously weak he is. They essentially cut ALL of his damage IN HALF with no compensation. Now, maybe there just aren't very many people playing Shaco on the PBE, maybe they don't have enough data, but Riot has a history of fucking over champions that I love.

Again, they may not have said anything because they haven't decided which major changes they are going to make yet. It's possible.
This is a mini-rework. I don't even think Riot calls it a rework. He will get a larger rework at some point, but this is to wait until then.
Pretty sure he's not planned to ever get a large rework
Shaco Although we think Shaco is ultimately in need a full VGU-esque update, we wanted to take some time to give him a quick tune up. We want to give him back some of the cool tricks he used to have (as well as some new ones), but at the same time address some of the long-term game health issues he has always presented (overbearing early ganks and relentless split pushing).
Which would at least be 2 years from now
That doesn't mean what I said was incorrect.
It does make it irrelevant though
