What they change in patches!!!!
Looking at these two patches between a golden era for league of legends (season 6) and the incredibly frustrating era (season 8) i have noticed an incredible difference in what changes in the patches. Looking at season 6 not just patch 6.17 but almost any patch from season 6 you have a whole lot of mana cost changes, range changes and cool down changes. There are very limited damage changes in these patches. The patches were more geared towards outplay changes or changes that would prevent outplays from being super easy. Now fast forward to patch 8.15 where almost all of the changes are damage based. There are very few that change anything other than how fast you can kill someone. Why doesn't riot go back to this system of patches back when you had amazing outplay moments, not the one shot moments people have come to call "outplays"
