Is gold any better than silver?

Hey guys.. I have about 300 games played in Silver. I can't seem to get out no matter what I do. I constantly go from silver 5 to silver 1 then back to silver 5.

Some games go great, Other games go terrible. Last game I had a jungle that did not gank a single lane and an ADC that went 0 - 6 the first 5 minutes.

I find it hard to keep a positive mindset and outlook.. Any advice is appreciated.. I really want to move up but I just don't see it happening.

Not here to blame everything on the team mates, I have my bad games too and can take the blame.

Gold is probably the best elo imo. People are good enough to play the game decent but dont have the ego of the higher elos. Its actually fun to play. I would duo with you or watch your games if you would like.

Depends. Is Gold 5 much different from S1? Not really. Is Gold 5 much different than S5? Yeah. Is Gold 1 much different than S5? By a lot.

Gold 5, absolutely not, but above that I'd say Gold is a bit better.

While gold is always worth more than silver, silver is likely a better investment since it keeps more stable prices that slowly, but steadily, grow over time.

Once you hit G3, things start to get a little better. And then if you hit Plat. P5-4 are awful.

I'm stuck Silver 2, and I can say for whatever reason the games have gotten harder. (Flex).

I seriously HATE gold. I'm gold 5, every time I'm playing in ranked I go against some plat 5, 4, and 3. At least for me, there's a huge difference between high silver and gold. Junglers actually know how to gank and stuff, you have to be aware of like everything.

If you're trying to climb, here's a few tips.

Cut down your champ pool. You're playing FAR too many different roles and champs.
Don't touch : Darius, Fiora, Vayne, Cassiopeia, Olaf, Syndra, Thresh, Shaco ANYMORE this season. They're not your champions to play right now. You can always try going back to them later when you have a better understand of the game. If you have a 0% winrate or below 50% winrate on a champion after 10 games, drop them and let them stew until you're actually able to play the champion again.
Do touch: Yasuo, Hecarim, Brand, Mordekaiser, Shyvana, Warwick, Lee Sin, Vi, Annie. Pick from among them. Looks like jungle is best for you, so stick with Hecarim, Shyvana, WarWick, Lee, maybe mid as your secondary with Yasuo, Annie, Brand.
Use the practice tool. Learn as much as you possibly can about your champions, how much gold you need each back and what item at what time means you're ahead etc. Learn about their damage and what your damage output is so you don't overestimate or even underestimate your damage.

If you do something as simple as that you'll see you climb much easier.

Gold isn't much better than silver. There's less afks but people still make stupid monkey plays, and overextend (myself included sometimes)

Depends on the tiers too. A gold 1 player is waaay better than a silver 5 player. Silver 1 is close to a gold player's level though.

Just an advice: Don't play Yasuo and Fiora in silver cuz that's why you are still in that ELO. Play noobfriendly champs and you'll most likely get out of silver in 50 games or even less if you aren't that bad.
