I'm a Plat 4 support main, here's my idea on how to balance janna support

The problem: Right now janna's shield is extremely op (when shield is maxed, lvl 9, just with base stats of shield, she can give anyone on her team a bf sword. Plus the amount of damage she can shield for is extremely high), and added on the amount of peel, team healing and movement speed she gives to her team, janna is a little to strong at the moment.

The problem with solving the problem: Janna's shield makes her kit. It allows for adcs to win trades they wouldn't otherwise be able to win to the point of where its too strong in lane. Just out right nerfing her shield alone would make it so janna was no longer viable as a meta pick, or at least lower her on the support tier. So due to this in order to balance janna, her shield has to be nerved but also something else in janna's kit has to be either buffed or added.

My solution (Part 1: nerving janna's shield): Change the ap % on her shield to 65% from 70% and shield give to 75/115/155/195/235 from 80/120/160/200/240 and change the ad on her shield to 14/20/26/32/40 from 14/23/32/41/50

My solution (Part 2: addition to janna's kit): New ability: Janna may use her w on allied champions This would give the allied champion a movement speed boost of 10/13/16/19/22% plus (3% of her ap) for 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 seconds Cooldown of w would be changes to 12 seconds at ranks 1 and 2, 11 seconds at ranks 3 and 4 and 10 seconds at rank 5

Reasoning behind changes: This nerfs janna's shield to a more balanced level while adding a new use to her w. This gives her greater use as a utility support for an assassin adc like twitch, or an immobile add like jinx. It also weakens her laning phase that right now is a little too strong (in the sense of allowing an adc to survive a laning phase they really shouldn't be able to)

Her base mana pool and mana regen is much higher than average and her mana costs are relatively low.

They could normalize her mana/regen and compensate by changing Howling Gale's mana cost to 80120 from 90150.
