URF Was Fun While It Lasted

I imagine the conversation went roughly like this:

Riot employee A: "Hey, you know the one bad thing about ARAM?" Riot employee B: "How games are often curbstomps decided in champ select where one team isn't allowed to play League of Legends and just has to bend over and take it for 15-20 minutes because one comp is just absurdly stronger than the other by pure chance?" A: "Yeah, well we're gonna take it and put it URF!" B: "Did the community ask for this?" A: "No, they hated it when we announced it and they want to play the champions they choose, but we know best." B: "Isn't that exactly the attitude that caused the solo queue fiasco?" A: "No it's ok, they'll learn to love things they don't want forced down their throats, I'm sure!"

Riot, April Fools is long gone, you can let us all in on the joke now...

A good deal of the boards and reddit community did want this. Don't speak for the entire community. Thats not how the conversation goes and you can't know unless your at Rito itself.

Are you retarded? The very first thing anyone saw about AR URF was the community crying that Riot HAS to implement it into the game. Guess what? It's still not an actual fix to the problem and just barely even band-aids it. The community itself fixed the problem they had easily with Temple of URF.

There are two bad things about aram. Aram only accounts and the thing you said already.

wait URF was fun before AR? because I most certainly never had fun if I dared to not pick 1 of the 18 OP champions and proceeded to get curbstomped because of it
