Instalocking needs to be punishable
For the past three games I have had people who instalock their role even though they did not call it, which results in the person who wanted the role to also lock in or be forced to support (I dodged champ select twice and was forced to play with double adc and tf jungle to avoid getting banned). This is an extremely unhealthy game design as it rewards the people who are rude. It simply isn't fun to play a game where you have duo adc's/toplaners or someone running it down midlane, or forced to support. I have no problem with supporting (I play all of the role which is partially why i'm still gold) but I absolutely hate it when I am forced to play a role I had no intention of playing when I joined the game. I believe that having a feature to report someone for instalocking/rudeness while in champion select is needed.
TLDR: Riot needs to punish instalockers by implementing a report feature in champion select.
I already know what some people are thinking:
"But there's draft pick" Yes, I love waiting 7 minutes to find a game in draft pick, then waste another 5 minutes getting into the game. Despite this, I do only play draft pick now since I do not want to bother with instalockers, however I would like to just be able to quickly get into a game without going through the ban phase.
"Calling your roles doesn't guarantee you to get your role" Your right, however it is generally accepted that if you go into a norms game, you call the role you want to play and if someone calls it first you call a different role. This rule is followed my almost everyone playing norms except for those salty players that instalock.
I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on the matter, even if you don't agree with any part of what I am saying.
