Lich Bane Sona [Semi-Rant, I suppose. ]

Honestly, this is a semi-rant, you don't have to read it, I just want to vent my annoyance of a certain item on Sona that I've been seeing built WAY more than it should.

Please refrain from the constant " get gud, l2poke" or whatever. I've heard it enough.

Lately, with the new skin coming out, I've seen nothing but Sona instalock supports, first off, the one thing that strikes me odd. " Oh, this Sona has 47 AP. " Instant thought is Lich Bane. Seemingly, the lane is just poke and farm for both sides, no champions killed. Both sides recall with 2000 gold. Without hesitation, I always check the enemy laners items.

" Oh, Sona rushed Sheen and Ather Wisp. " Disregarding ANYTHING related so support, the enemy proceed to chunk my support and myself with the poke that she has plus the passive sheen proc. I don't understand why people are going support when they're only in it to build a heavy hitting Lich Bane ( with nothing but AP afterwards. )

I can see Karma building AP as a Mage-Support, Lulu as well. However, seeing Sona just waltzing in with a " Oh here's half your health lets just go with that. " Really irks. Me, and even when I build MR, it just doesn't stand up to her damage.

I 'unno, I'm just tired of it. It irks me that everytime I play Sona, people feel the need to call me out for NOT building a Lich Bane when I build more tanky so I can support for a longer time in a fight.

As I said, this is just a semi-rant, you can ignore me all you want. I honestly know people will "defend it" and I'll casually read it as I do all board replies. Thank you for your time for reading my rant, and I hope I can look forward to some interesting replies from both sides of the spectrum.
