Simple question about Pantheon nerf

Why can't we just make Pantheon's passive not work on epic monsters like you did with Garen's passive? Why do we have to butcher his attack speed? I mean, afaik, the only reason his attack speed is getting gimped is because of his dragon slaying power.

I don't think Pantheon's AS nerf is really about the dragon. On PBE, they already had fixed the dragon attack a spell so that Pantheon (and Fiora, etc) couldn't block the damage. No need to nerf AS to repair that.

I think it's about how many blocks he gets while clearing the jungle. Back when sustain wasn't a thing, this didn't matter because all junglers were full health all the time. I'd bet that Riot thinks Pantheon's jungle sustain ought to be more like other light fighters in the jungle, and that's why they nerfed his AS.

I'd of course love to hear a clear explanation from Riot on this one.

Riot likes to gut people that are able to do what Lee Sin cannot.

Just ignore they also indirectly gave him a pretty big lane nerf.

Let me sum up the changes: Riot: "So Pantheon, had this issue where he could solo dragon and snowball his team that other champs could abuse as well, well we buffed dragon so it is harder to cheese dragon. But his WR went up and we need to fix that so here are these nerfs that we are probably going to revert soon because we don't use common sense."

I probably wont pick him anymore unless playing against Teemo. He was already crap in lane because of how easily he dies to ganks and how fast he falls off once behind due to his lack of a 6 that helps him in a 1on1. I have so many games as Pantheon top where I completely deleted my lane opponent by killing them 3-4 times before they got armor and finished 15-5 yet still lost the game.
