Is Renekton viable in the jungle? I think it is.

Renekton is a champion that I like, and as a jungle game I always resent not being able to use it, as it loses a lot of life cleaning, the Q cures very little against monsters. But, with the new possibility of choosing Armor runes, his "suffering" was reduced a bit, making it I think, a 100% viable jungle.

Good 1 vs 1 at the Scuttle
Good invade

So why not? And I spent the weekend using it, these are the results.

I just got the M5, I think with a little more experience I could do even better.

What do you think? Is there any reason why it is not viable? Do I waste time trying?

I'd argue that is not the case, if you follow RTO, he says Renekton's level 1 and 2 is actually nothing special, it's his level 3 that he suddenly powerspikes and becomes the lane bully he is known to be. However, the crab fights normally happen at level 2, and there are many other champs like Xin/Udyr/Yi/Jax or ranged champs like Graves who can contest at level 2.

If the crab fight happened at level 3 however, you'd have a case.

it is a bit of a shame how he doesn't scale and jung now is a scaling meta. But it is a fun and good pick.

I think people worry too much about what is popular, and hate on anything else.

When thinking of an off meta pick, I would ask myself, "What is the biggest weakness?"

My friend one time carried a game as Xerath jungle, but it was a fluke.

If it was ranked, and they had a strong duelist, they would have just invaded him to death.

But something like Renekton jungle? I say do it up man.

You pretty much already laid out the reasons it works, and I see no clear reason against it.

Up to you mate, if you do okayish with Renek jungle, keep going on, don't mind people calling you a troll or garbage. Try it in ranked next time, since it's mostly normal games there and you might be facing people with a lower level than yours (MMR stuff messed up in normal games).

You might never know when some korean player does something totally offmeta, and turns out it becomes the new meta and everyone starts crying about how OP it is :D
