Can someone explain me why they nerf Thornmail and make it cost more?

Now this item is dead. In lane vs healing champs Bramble Vest will be inflicting grievous wounds so u don't need full item. In late vs ADCs old dmg was a lot better than grievous wounds, because old dmg was at least 200% higher so the HP healed was equal or lower than damage taken from thornmail. Now new dmg is max 75 vs enemy with 0 MR and when having 500 bonus armor. This is equal to damage of old thornmail while 150-200 armor.Also this nerf killed Rammus.

they added grievous wounds to it. so its more difficult to just out lifesteal thornmails damage, and the damage the champion deals.

less than before. but you didnt really return much damage before either.

the grievous wounds in a fight is worth more than the thornmail passive is.

Rammus returned enough damage to kill the adc before. He can not kill the adc with the new thornmail.

in stats and value, no, just changed around.

in terms of use, its gutted. this should be its own item, not a replacement for thornmail. it used to be a team comp kidney punch check.

Wasn't everyone making and upvoting ''give thornmail grevious wounds'' threads? You actually expected them to give it grevious wounds and not nerf something else? lol
