DEMOTED AFTER 1 LOSE @ 0 LP = BROKEN SYSTEM

Any one else fed up with this ridiculous broken system, yesterday I was demoted with 2 loses at 0 lp today I was demoted again with NO joke ONE lose at 0 LP, can any one explain how this broken system works?? there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, one dy u can lose 4 games at 0 lp the next your getting demoted after 1 game, it makes no sense to me and quit frankly I think its hard enough to climb the ranks with all the trolling, afking, negativity and just general bad players out there that you should be allowed like 5 or 6 games at 0 lp before demotion specially once you get up to higher elos

Demotions are based on your MMR. If your matchmaking rating is low enough it'll drop you faster. For example if you're idk Bronze 1, but have 600MMR, it'll demote you at a single loss because your MMR is below what it should be. If your MMR is 1200 and you're in bronze 1 you're likely to have a buffer of several games at 0 LP.

Edit: Checking out your OP.GG, your MMR is lower than most of your league so you'll demote faster. So you have 987 MMR in silver 5, where I have 938 in Bronze 2 Mine's considered high at the moment of checking, where yours is considered low. So I'd climb faster and have a bit of buffer at 0 LP, you climb slower and drop leagues faster.

It's not based on LP, there's no specific number of games for protection from demotion, it's all run on MMR.

When you move into a new division, say Silver V to silver IV, you get a safety net of 3 or 5 games ( I don't remember for sure) when you're at 0 lp. For a new Tier, say Silver I to Gold V, you get a safety net of 10 games. If you lose games when at 0 lp, you won't be demoted until you've used all your safety net games.

I believe they only apply when you are at 0 lp, so if you win a game here and there, the games in the net that you didn't play stay there until you are at 0 lp again. Once these safety net games run out, you will be demoted for losing a match at 0 lp.

They should do demotion series games where you need to lose 3 to move down or 5 to move down from like gold to silver.

Argronar explained it right. Ive gone as far losing five games at 0 lp in silver 4 and still did not get demoted.

According to some reds, next season there will be changes to the ranked system. One thing that was specifically mentioned was making it so that if you get demoted, you don't have to go through promos to get back to anywhere you've already been.

Ie: Say you place at silver 3 and go through promos twice to get to silver 1, then lose enough to demote to silver 3 again. If you keep playing and get to silver 3 100 lp and win you won't get promos, you'll just be silver 2 instantly since you've already cleared silver 2 promos once, but if you get to silver 1 100lp you will need to go through gold promos since you haven't been there yet.

It's way easier to get demoted than to get promoted. That's not really fair.
