Did you guys start out like this? Or, am I the weird one? Bronze 2 16 lp (got demoted from bronze 1)

I've had some ups and downs like that. Right now mine is sitting on 4 wins and 7 loses and haven't touched it since I placed it. It's pretty normal I'd say to have more loses at first then wins, but the more you play the better you'll get at it. Mine usually evens out when I keep playing ranked (which I haven't in awhile XD)

Yea its pretty normal if you are new, you need to learn one champ only and abuse it to climb in order to get a better winrate

Yeah, I started around 6 months ago. I just don't know whether to counter-pick or pick my own main. :/

Dude my first season I was placed in Silver 3. By mid-season I was Bronze 4. By end-season I was back in Silver 5.

It will take a while to find your place. Now I'm struggling between Gold 2 and Gold 3. Give it time.

DId you start playing ranked right after hitting lvl 30? Because if so, that's normal. The average ranked player has a lot of experience. I waited 6 months after hitting level 30 before going into ranked, and it made it a lot easier. Play normals until you have a main role and champion, and 3 champs in each of the 2 two roles you are queueing up for you are comfortable playing as in case your main gets banned/picked.

I waited a couple of months before playing ranked, but then again.. I did duoq my placements with a friend.

I looked at your match history and noticed you main mid assassins. Those champions are generally "win lane lose game" type champions at low elo, because they are not easy to teamfight with. Champions like Amumu or Annie are generally what win games in bronze because they have AOE cc teamfight ults. So if you are going to stick with assasin's, you have to be very careful with how you play the mid/late game.

You have to be very careful about when you go in during teamfights so you don't get CCed and may want to just split push late game. You may find it easier to climb if you just play a teamfight champ that can drop their ulti during fights and win that game, since many games just devolve into everyone grouping mid after 20 mins.

If you stay with assasin's one thing you may want to do is always look for picks on the enemy carries. Try warding the enemy jungle and waiting in a bush for an enemy squishy to pass through and kill them. Or split push a lane, then hide in a bush and wait for someone to come to take the farm. That is generally more effective than trying to 5 v 5 teamfight.

I'm not new and hit my highest rank ever as a solo and with DQ on two accounts, but even I went like 7-23 starting out this season. There's a wider gap than ever in ranks with people who are extremely new and people who have tons of experience being mixed together and it's a toss up.

I went from B5 > S5 on my main in about 100 games with a 64% winrate with half DQ/Half Solo. Our DQ team collapsed with people changing roles, champs or just going MIA.

I took about 2-3 months off. Forgot just about everything. Had to go back.

Games 9&10 of my promotional series had trolls on my other account. My MMR went from an estimated S2 to B2 in 2 games.

Just continued to have a bad streak, going down to like a 20% winrate, jumping down to B5.

Now back to B3 and am feeling really comfortable with Master Yi. I think I can at least make Bronze 1 before the season ends. At 44% winrate now and believe I'll get up to 50% or so with enough games.
