Ranked Queue Gains/Losses

So, I'm curious to know if Riot's going to do anything about balancing ranked gains/losses. I've gotten to gold every season - so I know I'm at least a gold ranked player. However, this season it's kind of ridiculous. I've gotten to S1, then one game goes poorly, one game's full of trolls, and that just sets me in a downward spiral. Now, I'm in S3, I climb back up to S2, and occasionally S1, then spiral back down. Many of my bad matches are due to trolls, afkers, and the like. I guess my main point is, is there anything we can do about this? Honestly, tribunal's a joke, and reporting someone's like writing a letter to Santa - maybe your parents got the letter and can afford it, but really it's just up in the air. The rest of the 4 teammates have to suffer through LP loss and having it effect their mmr. Is there anything that's going to be done about this or am I just whining?
