Grievous Wounds

So Grievous wounds is a bit of a problem. Champs like Dr. Mundo, Illaoi, Aatrox, etc that rely on their healing in fights have no defense against grievous wounds. Executioner's Calling is 800g: gives 15 AD and the ability to reduce healing on champs hit by physical damage by 40%. At least Morrello's only applies when below a certain threshold. The only defense I can see to combat this right now is buying Spirit Visage that increases healing by 30%. There are three main items to apply Grievous Wounds but only 1 to really combat the effect.

I propose introducing other items such as Spirit Visage to not negate Grievous Wounds, but to help defend against it; especially on champs like the ones listed above. Or have the current items that apply Grievous Wounds have a requirement to apply it like Morrello's, so that the healing champ has a chance to resist getting it applied to them when it matters most.

Thank you.

uhh

Honestly?

Pure self heal machines are shit champ design

Don't care, One mechanics shouldn't define an entire champion, every single champion like that is fucking weak, 1 dimensional, and usually ends up synergizing with something eventually that causes them to become overwhelmingly broken

they come with the other part of them being easily countered

Don't pretend that it's healthy to have champions only have one gimmick, it just creates weak minded builds and easily countered broken and imbalancable monsters

Rework the healing mechanic, or weaken it on each of these champions and give them some other synergy

When aatrox is strong it's fucking stupid

when mundo isn strong it's fucking stupid

when soraka is strong it's fucking stupid

Illaoi isn't countered by grevious wounds, she is a better designed champion than the others listed.

I feel mixed on this. Grievous wounds is necessary to destroy lifestealing carries that have crazy damage, but on melee or tank champs it really does hurt too much.

This is posting from the grave but

no, don't touch GW. It's in a perfectly fine state as it is.

Riot has admitted that pure healers don't have much of a place in this game and that they are detrimental as a whole. They encourage a passive play style while punishing attempts at playmaking. That and they are just in no way fun to play against. Riot knows this and have finally given players an option to have some form of counterplay.

If you have a problem with it then maybe you should look at the champions that abuse healing thanks to their horrible design. (looking at you Soraka and Sona). Excessively passive play should not reward the player.
