I feel that on release champs should have to wait 10 days before they can be played in ranked, kayn had gotten through on the ban phase since no one on our team was playing him, there are more important bans. Then our 2nd pick support locks him in and says "i got this" and then goes 1/8 at 20 mins and leaves. i shouldnt have to worry about banning new champs in ranked and taking away from banning say draven, yasuo, zac, warwick, etc.

I totally agree I think they should ban every released/reworked champions for a month.
People have been opening same thread for years.It wont be implemented. People are allowed to pick anything they want.
To be frank, I'd doubt the new champ is responsible for that jerk going all ham. Likely he would have done that but with a different champ had Kahn been banned.
As for banning new champs I'll say what I always say in regards to whenever a new champ is out.
Deal with it. Yes, ideally you would want to play him in normals to get a feel for his kit first but morons are going to first time him in ranked because people can't afford to dodge and thus easier to get the role.
Ban the champ for the first week and then resume standard banning procedure. They fact having him on your team is liability enough that it could be worth the ban.
I've yet to encounter a Kayn on my team who doesn't feed.
Honestly, I've had better luck simply banning him even if it leads to the player trolling (since I'll at least know to dodge at that point).
