Is there such thing as an unviable champion?

Are there champions who are just plain bad and unplayable, or are all champions viable in a certain situation (e.g. Galio vs AP team comps) or with enough experience?

Playing unpopular champions gives you an edge as people don't know what to expect from you

Unviable? Rare cases where some champs are truly unviable.

Unplayable? Hell no. Riot does a good job balancing the game.

Whoa, slow down. The boards can't handle that fact.

Quick, trash talk balance. Or else we shall enter chaos.

Depends on your Elo. In Bronze - somewhere in Plat you can own with anything (AP Xin, AP Varus, AD Elise) as long as you can play it. Once your opponents get more skilled, they will be able to find out your weaknesses (e.g. being a squishy melee/weak late or early) much more quickly and play around your strengths. Also, most of the higher Elo players tend to know about your off-meta pick (like Swain) so they know how to play against you, whereas Bronze players might try to dive a Malzahar post-6.

KogMaw There's a reason champion.gg has him listed at 0.73% play rate this patch. Even the diehard Kog mains are dropping him. He's just plain bad now and riot has so far left him in that sorry state.
