Why are there so many boosters/smurfs in high gold?
Its every other game Im going against a laner/jg with 100% wr. Some of them are even obvious boosters.

I wish I knew too. They're making Gold 1 an even bigger pain than it usually is.
I had a game earlier with this smurf duo who were clearly higher than diamond, and yet people kept trying to duel them. If I see someone is low level, then I'll be extra cautious. They're almost always a smurf, but not all smurfs are created equal in high gold.
Usually the "smurfs" are low diamond and they act like they should be able to stomp in high gold/low plat like they did in bronze, so it's not that impressive. They also have a diva attitude to match and will never shut up about how they reached diamond. Basically they're too afraid to play on their account and they're tilted.
I rarely come across intimidating smurfs that are truly high elo, but when you do it is so oppressive and just not fun.
What I will say is annoying is that they're either boosting their friend or it's a duo that is smurfing together.
I wish Riot would remove duos from solo queue for this very reason because smurfs are either "boosting" their friend when they can barely keep themselves afloat, or they're a smurf duo.
same reason there as so many autists in gold. league has a big population.
by winning all or most placements you get gold 4 and with that mmr boost you start at around gold 1 elo and that is why there are more smurfs there
