No, but he's best now with an APC.

Can? Yeah, his E is good for poke / peel, his Q is good sustain and he gets to help secure dragons with it, and his W is a buff that significantly helps out carries on his team.

That said, he's really binary right now, and I don't recommend playing him. He'll just be super boring to play.

He's just not a good support. He has an okay kit for it, but he's tuned for the jungle, not for support.

Nunu support was meta in season 1-2 and still can be doable against attack speed carry like vayne /kalista/Jinx etc but those adc not being meta you might get shit on. It's fun tho.

Generally speaking, the least a support needs to do is anything that aids their ADC. Artillery supports like Zyra, Brand and Vel'koz keep the enemy at a distance and whittle down their health bar, and make them spend more energy dodging attacks with less time to actually farm. Tanks like Braum and Nautilus can close the gap and immobilize the target. Utility supports have their buffs, heals and crowd control.

Nunu, because of his age, is honestly not a very good champion in general, much less as a support. His Blood Boil gives a very small buff, no matter how long it lasts, his E at higher levels is more likely to kill the enemy at low health than maim them (if you are concerned about support chivalry), and his tankiness in general lags pretty far behind others. There are other champions that just do the support job much better than him.

A long time ago, it was expected. Cait/Nunu was a nightmare botlane.

I'd argue against playing nunu at all because he's the next champ on the rework list. The only exception to this is nunu mains who should enjoy him while he lasts.

u can play him but yes, most people will consider him troll and will report you and insult you from pregame chat forwards... do it at ur own risk... you will also be blamed o every loss, and prob reported.. so never talk if its not to say something "positive"
