why the heck are people giving up so quick???

are many people that pathetic that they cant play from being behind by a little bit? ive gotten into so many games that the team are down like 5/10 or 10/17 and they want to give up already. the freaking game has only been like 15min and they gg already, afk, etc. seriously???

even with a fio that is 3/19 and the team were behind from beginning to end sometime 20k behind, it's still winnable. so why the hell are people giving up at 5/10??? ><

Depending on the game and teams, I will surrender when appropriate. A) team shows no promising mechanics or effort for objectives or plays B) Team blames others consistently when it is their own fault C) Their team comp is far better and we have little to no chance to stop them from possible lack of CC or damage.

Totally agreed.

In my opinion, C is the most important. Having a full AD early game comp vs. a Nasus/Vayne/Karthus and being 20-9 at 20 minutes...

most people lose hope after a certain while but a few people including myself attempt to carry onto late game because very little people i know know how to late game correctly or they just on tilt

there are games where, I can tell that my teamates just aren't synergizing correctly, and we're behind by 5+ towers, every drag so far, and like 20+kills that I am just not willing to fight no more. but baring that kind of landslide, I never give up... especially when, like, we have more towers but less kills. or more dragons but less kills. then I am TOTALLY 100% MODE IN THE GAME and like, man I wish this adc wasn't on tilt :(

I've lost more games because my teamate is on tilt, IMO. I wish I could be a better motivator xD

I rarely vote yes to surrender. I'll play as long as I'm having fun and even a well-fought loss qualifies. Even when there's a good chance of winning, though, people with poor attitudes can ruin the game for me. Even if my team has a good chance at winning, if my teammates are bickering, belittling, blaming, or bitching, it sucks the fun right out of it. I'll agree to a surrender just to get out of a game like that.

They give up because they hate their teammates.

When someone goes 0/7 in lane vs Katarina despite me telling them to hug turret, I really just don't want to be on the same team as them anymore.

The thing I do is as soon as someone on my team starts freaking out about that 0/7 player, I make up my mind to never surrender just to piss that one guy off. Of course I keep on actually playing so it's not like I'm harming the team, but that feeling from making someone mad for not wanting to surrender is just too good a feeling.

Of course if my team stays neutral about that person I will gladly surrender, its only when other people attack people and say "/all gg this team/player sucks" that I make it my mission to keep playing.

Except I don't go off in chat about these guys, been suspended too many times for snapping about feeders. All I do is mute my team, splitpush instead of teamfight (because I don't have any trust in my teammates at this point) and call for surrender each time it is available.

In my opinion I think it is because they would rather give up than fight. With Riot's recent changes to their policy on verbal abuse, feeding and everything else, they give up to avoid losing their temper and whatnot. To be honest I think that the guys that give up are worse than the guys that are slightly abusive.

Because for every game like that, there's 15-20 that end in a loss. If I surrender all of them when it's clear we're unlikely to win, I can play a larger number of games, which results in a larger number of possible wins.

It honestly looks like the Yi was the only reason they won. Most likely due to a back-door.

If they performed poorly, but they had one person go and solo the enemy nexus... Did they really "Win"?

Dar Raksada1 votes

Did the enemy nexus get destroyed while theirs still stood? If yes, then they really did win. Splitpushing and backdooring are perfectly viable strategies.

MasochisticMeese1 votes

They gained no applicable skills in having one person finish the game for them in what is supposed to be a game of TEAM EFFORTS.

Same thing goes in my case for loosing. Did I make any good plays? Did I learn something new? Do I feel myself improving on some aspect? If I can answer "Yes" to any of these, I feel like I won, regardless of what match my history says.
