A Sincere Thank You @Riot

I'm just a bronzie nooblord, but I've played League of Legends for years, so I've seen how the community has shifted and changed over the years. It seems that as time goes on, more people are showing more discontent with the state of the game. Unfortunately, some of those people feel that the only way to make their voices heard are to spew vile hatred at Riot.

The unfortunate truth of the matter is that the player base for League is extremely large, and despite all of the slander that Riot faces, they continue to do their best to meet the needs of a community that is ever more divisive.

It is literally impossible to please everyone, and I know that the Rioters are doing what they can. I know that if I had to get up every morning and go to a job where half of my customer base literally hated me, I would have a difficult time. So kudos Riot. I may not agree with every decision you make, but you're doing your best.

Keep it up.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

There are certainly pockets of negativity, but we get tons of positive reinforcement as well. I get to interact with people in games on a daily basis and the large majority are having fun and challenging themselves.

I never dread coming in to work because as opposed to other jobs I've worked in, my whole aim is to make people enjoy the game (and themselves) more. Sometimes that means nerfing a champion a lot of people love, but we wouldn't do it if we didn't truly believe the end result would be a better, more enjoyable game.

Actually it would be interesting if Riot posted a counter of some kind. Like how many active players, how many logins per day, how many wins, losses, skins purchased, champions purchased, Teemo s killed, gold earned, barons and dragons killed, etc.

Maybe even post a real-time counter somewhere on a League site.

A friend to everyone is a friend to no one.

Just focus on making the game better Riot. Not everyone will be pleased, but I bet a large portion will be with the end result.

Well worded friend I wish more people looked at it that way (including myself occasionally)

I only make threads and call out Rioters specifically because I think they can do a better job and I firmly believe my voice helps with that. Even if my ideas aren't considered, my opinion is added to a pile that Riot sifts through and considers before they make big decisions.

But I love this game and I only want to see it improve as time goes on. I play constantly. I'm not someone who hates Riot and I think Andrei does a great job.

they dont have to please everyone, just their majority, which they are crapping all over right now. (soloQ)

"in order for the game to be balanced we have to limit dynamic queue at the later stages of ELO" because that isn't proof that the system is broken

They aren't. Your delusion is hurting yourself, hurting Riot, and hurting the rest of the playerbase.
