I agree and sometimes feel that Zyras Q should act like Neekos Q if it “shoots out spines” or atleast act/look like vines/spines shooting out of the ground almost like Evelynns Q.
I also think Zyras R should deal the same amount of damage as Neekos. Overall, Zyra just needs her kit adjusted so...

By this logic you could say the same about Swain and Mordekaiser E ability or Lucian and Senna Q ability, even tho those abilties are similiar they work in a different way. A champion is not define by a single ability, I don't know where did you get that from.
